It's been almost a month since j-hope was discharged from the army and ARMYs are living in happy days as BTS members return one by one. Along with the bustling atmosphere welcoming Jin's new solo album, fans are also enjoying the excitement of activities celebrating j-hope's discharge.
In particular, one of them is the "flowery road" that j-hope promised ARMYs. Surprisingly, ARMYs themselves kept the promise he made when he was discharged, making others admire.
The love between BTS and ARMYs is two-way and j-hope deserves the best!
On the 17th of last month, j-hope successfully completed his military service after 18 months. Returning from the army with a live welcome from Jin as well as fans from afar, j-hope did a live broadcast and shared his happy feelings.
During the broadcast, j-hope promised his fans a “flower path” for them after completing his military service. He mentioned at the time: “This is truly the start of the third act of my life. I’ll show you a lot of great things. I’ll let you walk the path of flowers. No more waiting shoes—just flower shoes from now on.”
This message from j-hope promises to bring ARMYs joyful, happy, and colorful days after a long time of waiting for him. Canvas shoes will now be replaced with flower shoes!
But while waiting for the flowers to come from j-hope, ARMYs themselves helped him carry out part of his plan. His fan community has created real flower paths in Seoul, bringing joy to both locals and tourists.
Specifically, j-hope’s fan group, called the “Jung Hoseok Flower Path Project Team”, has taken the initiative to establish and maintain a public garden. Named after j-hope’s real name, the Jung Hoseok Flower Path Project Team created the “J-Hope Forest Bench Garden” in October 2023, located in Seoul Forest Park, which has since become a global attraction.
The garden, positioned on a 20-square-meter plot between the park’s central pond and water playground, features a large “J”-shaped bench inspired by J-Hope’s initials. It is surrounded by a diverse array of 18 plant species, including skyrocket juniper, wнιтe dogwood, hydrangeas, helenium, and thyme, creating a vibrant, floral display.
The success and popularity of the J-Hope Forest among both local citizens and international visitors inspired the fan group to expand their efforts last month. In celebration of J-Hope’s discharge, they established “J-Hope Forest 2” near the original garden as a tribute to his return.
The fan group was recently honored by the city of Seoul for leading the “garden culture” movement, receiving the Garden City Award for their contributions to the city’s green spaces. Not only did the project bring a flower path to j-hope and ARMYs, but it also created a beautiful environmental αѕѕet that anyone who visits the park can enjoy and admire.
