Last weekend, SUGA released a collaboration song with IU called People Pt.2. The song was released as a pre-single for his new album D-Day to be released later this month.

Immediately after its release, the song won the hearts of the aud̾i̾e ̾nce and was loved a lot. However, ARMYs also quickly realized that IU's familiar melody and singing part had been sung by Jungkook as a guide before in a video SUGA a̾c̾c̾i̾d̾e̾n̾tally revealed.

Today, on the broadcast of IU's Palette, SUGA officially confirmed this and even revealed that he considered singing with the popular female singer Jungkook in People Pt.2 before. This caused IU to have a special reaction while ARMYs enjoyed the revelation:

SUGA recently returned to the K-pop charts with the release of the track that paved the way for his first solo album - People Pt.2. This song quickly topped iTunes charts in 87 different countries and regions, especially major countries like the US, UK and ¢αиα∂α.

Earlier in 2020, SUGA and IU collaborated on a hít song called eight. At that time, the song swept all charts around the world, topping the charts on music platforms in кσяєα. People Pt.2 once again witnessed the perfect collaboration of two artists with catchy tunes, meaningful lyrics and it made all listeners empathize.

But when the new song was released, ARMYs also noticed a special detail in SUGA's new song. It was in IU's singing and ARMYs felt very familiar with them. Many people pointed out, SUGA a̾c̾c̾i̾d̾e̾n̾tally revealed part of its melody before and most especially, it was also sung a part by Jungkook.

Specifically, that moment was discovered in a short 3-minute video released on BANGTAN TV documenting SUGA's photo shoot for "Wholly or Whole me". In it, after SUGA selected the photos he was satisfied, he used his iPad to listen to a piece of music.

ARMYs discovered Jungkook's voice and a completely unreleased tune was played. Although SUGA was very pleased with the song, he still wanted to add some instrumental sounds to it. It is worth noting that the vocals in the song are from Jungkook and the lyrics heard include "Don't far away. Stop".

At that time, fans were very excited and raised many theories about whether Jungkook was the backing vocalist for SUGA in the new solo song or if there was some combination of the two. However, now as everyone has seen, it belongs to People Pt.2 with a combination of SUGA and IU. Looks like Jungkook sang the guide for IU during SUGA's production. 

But there is an even more interesting anecdote behind this story that has been officially confirmed by SUGA that he considered singing with IU or Jungkook on that song. SUGA frankly shared his thoughts on the latest episode of IU's Palette.

When talking about their collaboration, IU mentioned that she collaborated with SUGA and another вιg нιт Music producer at the age of 28 together. And now, when they are 31 years old, the three are once again reunited. So IU asked SUGA what he felt was different between his two collaborations with her.

IU asked: "Anyway this is our second collaboration. We didn't talk much when we were working but we have worked together before. I have another friend of the same age, so I said to SUGA and EL CAPITXN that I want to write what I felt at the age of 28 into the story. I said this before and this time I made a new one at the age of 31.  What do you think is the difference between the song and the previous one?"

SUGA then gave a thought he hadn't revealed to IU before about how Jungkook was the one who sang the guide for her and that he thought about letting Jungkook or her perform the song. This confirmed the previous ARMYs' theory to be true.

SUGA said: "Actually, this song was written 3 years ago. This is the song I wrote before (interpersonal relationship song) Ihad a lot of troubles. At the beginning, it was Jung Kook who sang. I thought, "Who should I sing with?". Actually I was a little worried because we already worked together once so I kept thinking "Can we do it again?" I think working with IU is the best choice!".

Before SUGA's answer, IU was completely surprised and even a little pressured to know that she had performed a song that meant a lot to him. She replied with the noted subscription "(very stressful)" that: "The first time I heard about this".

While IU's reaction was worth it, ARMYs also seemed to be excited about the anecdote. Besides, there were many ARMYs who teased Jungkook about Jungkook's reaction when he learned that SUGA dumped him to work with IU on People Pt.2.
