BTS at the moment is not only the concern of the ARMY and the media but also the target of government officials. These days, high-ranking officials make the ARMY extremely uncomfortable by repeatedly expressing their desire to make BTS promote Busan EXPO even while they are doing their military service.

This is said to be overwhelming when BTS has performed military service as a normal citizen while still serving other activities. Here's what officials say they'll be looking for ways to take advantage of BTS even while they're serving in the military.

In this morning's National Assembly meeting, many high-ranking officials were present. Besides, one of the topics they are most interested in revolves around the bidding for Busan EXPO 2030 and the exhibition's ambassador - BTS.

Senior officials seem to have agreed that BTS's ambassadorial activities will be free of any obstacles after enlisting. Even when the members are in the barracks, officials will arrange times and schedules so that they can promote Busan EXPO 2030 or participate in events that promote the country through performances.

To this, Deputy Defense Minister Shin Beom-cheol replied, "We are now prepared to have an appropriate system that can support BTS if they wish". His answer is said to satisfy officials who are concerned about BTS' ambassadors when enlisting in the army.

Previously, the members of the special committee pointed out how current issues such as BTS's military service and the government's active role could affect the success of Busan EXPO 2030. Ahn Byung- gil, a member of People's Power, said, "They have no choice, BTS will voluntarily enlist, but after enlisting, BTS' activities as ambassadors for EXPO will be significantly reduced."

Meanwhile, another official asked, "Can (BTS) support various national events while serving in the military?".

In general, the military side as well as government officials agree on creating conditions for BTS to both enlist in the army and participate in national service activities. But contrary to the positive response of officials, netizens seem to feel this is excessive.

They think that when BTS enlists, they should be respected and properly perform their duties as a soldier. The fact that government officials are exploiting and relying too much on the group only shows their inefficient way of working when they are not proactive in promoting Busan EXPO 2030.

Many people considered that they want to make BTS work during their military service, outrageous, the worst thing is that by law they could not be paid if that happens. They just don't respect bts either as a citizen or as an artist.
