Famous Football Club Copies BTS Logo, Causing Fans Outrage

For any brand, including celebrity brands, copying or plagiarizing a logo is a violation of the law. Therefore, it is understandable that BTS fans and netizens feel angry after seeing the new logo of the famous football club Birmingham City FC.

With the photo posted on SNS, this club's logo was accused of copying BTS's logo. Since then, the incident became a heated debate and comment throughout the online community. Meanwhile, the professional football club has not yet given any response.

Below is the situation of the incident that is receiving a lot of attention from fans in recent hours:

Since BTS's debut, there have been many stories related to some individuals or organizations taking advantage of the group's reputation or infringing on intellectual property rights for personal gain. BTS as well as HYBE had to take many legal measures and fιgнт to the end to protect their rights and they were always the winners.

However, similar situations continue to occur. Especially recently, a professional football club even tried to "copy" the group's logo design. Specifically, it is the Birmingham City FC football club that is playing in the EFL Championship. It started with a photo shared on Twitter on January 30.

The photo features the logo along with the abbreviation “PSH” on a blue background, attracting the attention of many people. The soccer club also added the caption “Soon,” because it was a post teasing кσяєαn soccer player Paik Seung-ho. Professional football club Birmingham City FC recently welcomed кσяєαn midfielder Paik Seung Ho to its team. The footballer signed a two-year contract with the football club and became the first кσяєαn player to represent Birmingham City FC.

However, what caught fans' attention the most was that the logo announced by Birmingham City FC looked eerily similar to the BTS logo. This υиєχρє¢тє∂ similarity has left fans confused and upset, questioning the uniqueness and purpose behind the club's design choice. Therefore, BTS fans left a lot of comments, asking questions about the Birmingham City FC logo:

- I don't even know the context behind this post (a collab? I don't think so..) but, good luck then! bcus this logo is trademarked by the logo's owner (it's @BTS_twt, you know?) so I hope u have a good lawyer team!

- HELLO?!! WHAT?!!

- I love how y'all sign someone korean and the first thing that pops into your mind is bts. bts are legends and the standard of korea wbk

- Yeah buddy its over for you

- Oh the lawsuit gon cost you a fortune....

- congrats to PSH but given that all BTS mbrs are conscripted and didn't get a waiver from military service despite all the economic benefits to кσяєα and uplifting of кσяєα's global standing, I hope PSH team will be able to reach out to educate leadership on BTS' logo

- Congrats on signing Paik Seung-ho, but you do know that’s not actually a symbol for South кσяєα, right? It’s BTS’ (trademark protected) logo. I mean, I get it, BTS *are* the most famous кσяєαn men (ever) in the world …

- That’s trademarked bro. I hope your lawyers are better then your players

- dear @BIGHIT_MUSIC @HYBEOFFICIALtwt, this account @BCFC is using and changing BTS copyrighted logo for their "celebration" (?) by signing a new player from SK. please send them a good lawsuit for using it out of BTS context and even change the word "BTS" to "PSH". thank you.

- Yall might end up sued for this btw...the bts logo is trademarked and their company dont hesitate to enforce it. Also, it is pretty shady to use this symbol as a symbol for korea, if thats what this post is doing.

- You know it, everyone knows it, I know it, this logo is from BTS not from a soccer team, how unoriginal

- I can smell "Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC." notification from far away, just wait!

Until now, many people suspected that Birmingham City FC used the logo as a hint for "кσяєα" to announce Paik Seung-ho. But in the end, fans said that this was not an appropriate move because the logo was trademarked by Big Hit and unauthorized use could lead to litigation.

Big Hit Music has filed an application with the кσяєαn Intellectual Property Rights Information Office to register the copyright for the BTS logo. It is known that the BTS logo is not only an agent that increases brand power but also protects the intellectual property αѕѕets of all HYBE employees and partners, including BTS. The group's logo also won an award at the 2018 iF Design Award in Germany because of its meaning.

Meanwhile, Birmingham City FC has not yet released any official statement regarding the situation.
