V is loved all over the world but V's Chinese fans are still an amazing force when we mention their spending for him. Every comeback, they show great support mentally and physically for him. And this time is no exception.
China has long proven to be another "TaeTaeland" of V for the ARMY community. Recently, album sales consumed by V's Chinese fan community - China Baidu VBar have shown how enthusiastic they are for this comeback of BTS.
In just one week, China Baidu VBar recorded 71,724 combined album sales of the Standard and Compact versions of "Proof", valued at US$1,638,026.12. This number accounts for 39.3% of total sales and 38% of total sales of "Proof" in the country.
Next in second place are the OT7 fansites, which had 39,620 sales amounting to 1,112,062.64 USD. Third is "Chinese Jungkook", with 35,245 copies sold for 757,228.24 USD.
This is not the first year that China Baidu VBar shows such strong in album sales. In 2020, Vbar in China also leads in sales, not only among individual BTS member fandoms but also among all K-pop fandoms in the country. They recorded the highest sales for both albums "Map of the Soul: Persona" and "Map of the Soul: 7".
In addition to the popularity of buying albums, China Baidu Vbar has also repeatedly held grand activities to promote V or congratulate him on his birthday. The most recent example was during BTS' "Permission to Dance on Stage" concert in Las Vegas when Taehyung posted Vbar's concert project outside Allegiant Stadium on his Instagram story.
Another occasion was during Taehyung's 26th birthday when he visited the VBar showcase on Shinchon street, where there was a giant Taehyung doll and walls displaying his music and art. V came, took pictures and recorded a video and uploaded it on Instagram.
