BTS's Reaction After Learning That Over 40K ARMYs Watched Concert From Outside The Stadium Leaves Fans Emotional

BTS has completed ⅔ of the concert nights at the third αмєяι¢αn stop — мєχι¢σ — on the ARIRANG world tour. With only one final night remaining on the 10th local time, BTS will wrap up their three-night concert series at Estadio GNP Seguros, which had previously sold out all three nights during the initial ticket sales period.

Four hours before the final show was BTS’s usual soundcheck, but today, heavy rain suddenly poured over мєχι¢σ City. The rain seemed to somewhat ease the ongoing heatwave in the Latin αмєяι¢αn country, as well as the intense heat generated by BTS’s concerts throughout the past week.

Nevertheless, the weather could not stop the fans’ pαѕѕionate support. Only a few hundred ARMYs were lucky enough to have tickets to enter the stadium for the soundcheck, yet outside the venue, thousands of fans still stood in the rain waiting just to faintly hear BTS’s voices echoing from inside.

After the soundcheck, an υиєχρє¢тє∂ moment made the fans’ excitement rise even further: the BTS members suddenly appeared at the windows outside the stadium to greet the ARMYs gathered below. Amid thunderous cheers, the members continuously waved, even jumped up excitedly, and gestured “louder.” In response, fans screamed enthusiastically back at their idols.

When videos of the moment spread across social media, many fans believed BTS’s actions were a response to the overwhelming love from fans who had not been able to enter the stadium but had continued cheering for them pαѕѕionately from outside over the past several days — not only during today’s soundcheck, but also throughout the previous two soundchecks and concerts.

During the previous concert night, local media reported that more than 40,000 people gathered around the stadium for over two hours just to “experience the concert from outside.” The crowd became so mαѕѕive that Río Churubusco Avenue — one of the main arterial roads connecting the southern and eastern parts of мєχι¢σ City — had to be temporarily closed. A Mexican fan shared that such a situation was almost unprecedented, as the road is normally heavily congested and serves as a major route to the airport.

Despite not having concert tickets, tens of thousands of ARMYs still appeared dressed in BTS’s signature purple, carrying lightsticks and pαѕѕionately singing along to every song. Some people even climbed trees and surrounding structures just to catch a glimpse of part of the stage. Meanwhile, the official au∂ιєnce inside the stadium was estimated at around 60,000 people. This means nearly 100,000 people gathered around a BTS concert in just one night.

On the evening of the third concert night, SUGA also brought up the scene from the previous night, showing that he was aware of the massive number of fans gathered outside the stadium: “Wow, everyone, you are truly amazing. I heard that there are as many people outside as there are inside this stadium. Is there a larger venue here in Mexico?” He then added, “Then, the next time we come, we’ll have to perform there.”

From the very first concert night, social media was flooded with videos showing thousands of people packed outside the stadium. Initially, many believed it was simply curiosity surrounding the arrival of K-pop superstars. However, by the second and third nights, it became clear that BTS’s popularity in мєχι¢σ was not fading — it was only growing even stronger.

Not only the concerts, but before the first performance date, around 50,000 fans had also gathered at Zócalo just to see BTS. Notably, even though it was not a performance but merely a brief public appearance lasting only a few minutes, fans had gathered for hours in advance, and some were even moved to tears. Britain’s The Times described the BTS craze in мєχι¢σ as soмєтнing on the scale of a national event. The newspaper wrote, “When BTS come to town, even the president is starstruck,” and reported that President Claudia Sheinbaum had publicly invited the group to return next year.

After returning to мєχι¢σ for the first time in nine years, BTS has not only proven that their popularity remains as strong as ever, but also demonstrated their unique position in the country’s pop culture. From sold-out concerts to tens of thousands of people gathering outside the stadium, the “BTS fever” in мєχι¢σ is becoming a true cultural phenomenon. In response to the fans’ love, BTS also declared, “Leaving мєχι¢σ with nothing but good memories. Thank you so much. You guys are the best!” and promised, “We’ll definitely come back.”

Meanwhile, fans continue to be deeply moved by the moment the BTS members responded to the love of local fans, showing that the bond between BTS and ARMY has never been stronger: "This is actually so sweet", "That means they saw all the chaos yesterday", "Dude, what a sweet gesture :( there were so many girls crying yesterday, this healed my heart", "This is exactly what I'm telling you—the boys fell in love with мєχι¢σ. Well done, my people!", "Noooo! I’m sobbing! Omg their pure hearts!", "Omg, the way they make sure everyone feels seen", "They got incredibly amount of love from the Mexican ARMYs. So happy to see everyone happy",...
