V Moves ARMY to Tears by Revealing He Got a Tattoo of Yeontan on His Birthday

Ever since adopting Yeontan and introducing the dog to fans in 2017, V’s love for his beloved pet has always stood out. He even featured Yeontan on the cover of his solo debut album Layover and brought the dog on stage to perform the title track “Slow Dancing” on an Mnet music show.

V also frequently used Yeontan as his profile picture and shared everyday moments with his “son” on social media. Yeontan accompanied him in his daily life, appeared in some of BTS’ schedules, and was thoroughly pampered by the idol. ARMY’s adorable jealousy over the dog even became so widespread that the phrase “how to be like Yeontan” became a search term and topic of discussion on social media.

Even though Yeontan pαѕѕed away nearly two years ago, the dog has never left V’s heart. In many social media posts and interactions with fans involving Yeontan, the idol’s emotions and eyes have shown just how deeply he still misses him. With such deep love for his late pet, V decided to do soмєтнing special for Yeontan’s birthday this year — permanently tattooing the dog’s image on his body!

On September 9, after returning to кσяєα from a North αмєяι¢αn trip that lasted more than a month, V updated his Instagram with a series of new photos. Among them, fans quickly noticed several signs suggesting that he may have touched up and added new tattoos.

One particular photo drew attention as V was shirtless and lying on a bed, while his familiar tattoo artist — who had previously tattooed V, j-hope, and RM in the US — appeared to be touching up the idol’s “prince” tattoo around his waist. In another photo, V showed a small drawing that appeared to be a demo design made before getting the tattoo, and it looked almost exactly like Yeontan. ARMY had little doubt that this was the design for his new Yeontan tattoo.

The speculation became even more convincing when fans noticed that V’s visit to the studio took place very close to Yeontan’s birthday, which is widely known to be September 7. On September 5, the tattoo artist who previously worked with V and j-hope last year shared a photo taken with RM, j-hope, and V in the US. Following that meeting, both RM and j-hope went on to reveal new tattoos: RM had “a human” and “lovers” tattooed on his arm, while j-hope revealed an ARMY symbol tattoo designed in the same pose BTS used for “Butter.”

For this reason, many ARMY believe that V’s visit was not simply to touch up an old tattoo, but also to add a new one — an image of Yeontan. If the speculation is correct, V choosing a time so close to Yeontan’s birthday to permanently preserve the dog’s image on his body makes the tribute even more special and touching. Fans couldn’t help but react emotionally after connecting all the dots, saying:
