One thing that all K-pop fans and artists in the industry must admit is that BTS is the most successful K-Pop group in the entertainment industry today. It is most evident through the major awards and especially the awards that few or no K-Pop artists have achieved.
Most recently, fans can't help but be proud and congratulate BTS by a new prestigious and unique award given to the group despite the group's hiatus. That shows the undeniable influence and reputation of BTS.
Here's what ARMYs are so happy about seeing BTS win this award:
Debuting in 2013 under a small company вιg нιт Entertainment, BTS gradually received the attention of the auďïệnce at the Mnet Asian Music Awards in 2014 with the nomination for Best Dance Performance. However, to get to where they are today since that first award, BTS has come a long way.
There are times when BTS is "forgotten" to not be invited to major awards ceremonies or there are awards that BTS can't even dream about. But since their debut until this 10th year, BTS has never failed to release music products that capture the attention of their fans and their achievements in the end are more than 150 awards over the past decade.
Every album and every song showcases the extraordinary talents of the members. Each award is a well-deserved reward and recognition for their unparalleled talent and reputation.
Most recently, BTS continues to prove their popularity and popular music with a new huge achievement on Melon - кσяєα's largest streaming site. Considering BTS' growing influence and popularity, many ARMYs weren't surprised when it was announced that BTS had surpa̾s̾sed 10 billion streams, becoming the first artist to do so.
Months after this achievement, the streaming site Melon has officially certified BTS' dominance with their "Diamond Certification". Not only that, on May 16 (KST), Melon's Twitter platform shared the achievement again.
Besides congratulating the group on the continued success of the group on this platform (with BTS currently having more than 12 billion cumulative streams), Melon also confirmed that he would send a commemorative trophy to the members.
This is the first time a K-pop artist has owned this prestigious trophy. This is also the first 10 billion stream trophy in Melon's history. It must be noted that Melon is a hugely popular streaming site in кσяєα, most used by fans, and all K-pop artists are present on this top platform. It shows how loved BTS's music is.
What's even more special is that Melon has unveiled a new tool on the platform called "MelOn Hall" since January this year. MelOn Hall show the number of total streams, as well as the daily streams increase of each artist. It also rank artists based on their total number streams in Diamond, Gold, Silver and Bronze. BTS is the first one and is the first artist making Melon to create these kinds of rank.
While BTS is achieving their own achievements, ARMYs can't stop praising the group as they are the first and only artist to achieve that and receive the trophy.
