BTS’s longtime producer of over a decade, Pdogg, is one of the most prominent figures among them. Alongside Bang PD, choreographer Son Sung-deuk, and producers such as Slow Rabbit, Hiss Noise, ADORA, and CEO Shin Seon Jeong, he is considered one of the key figures who laid the foundation for BTS and their music.

As the producer behind global superstars BTS, Pdogg has ranked No.1 in domestic royalty earnings for five consecutive years since 2019. The reason given was that the two gradually grew apart while focusing on their respective careers, ultimately leading to the end of their relationship after about two years together.

Previously, the couple had drawn attention when they publicly confirmed their relationship in 2024. She began her career as a weather presenter at OBS in 2015, then worked in various roles including in-house announcer at SK Hynix and Hyundai Motor Company, announcer at Pohang MBC, and a 24-hour news host at KBS Media before becoming MBC’s main weathercaster in 2018.

In addition to her broadcasting career, she has been active as an entertainer, appearing on programs such as “Love Me Actually,” “Geon-sseol Cafe,” “Apocalypse,” “March of the Ants,” and “Kick a Goal.” She is also widely known for her rap sкιℓℓs and dance cover performances on MBC’s YouTube channel “Is It Raining Today?” and has appeared on variety shows like SBS’s “Go Crazy Girls.”

The couple’s breakup came as a surprise to many, especially since they had been relatively open about their relationship. However, the reason of “busy schedules” is also considered understandable, given that both are in demanding fields with intense workloads.

While many expressed regret over the split of this talented and well-matched couple, the reaction from the ARMY community was arguably even more attention-grabbing. Coincidentally, the timing of their breakup aligns with BTS’s return after a three-year hiatus due to military service, prompting fans to joke that Pdogg broke up because BTS is back and he needs to fully focus on producing music for the group.
