Jimin has topped the US Billboard main singles chart 'Hot 100' for the first time as a K-pop solo singer. This has created a proud and admirable new milestone for Jimin and BTS.
Before this huge achievement of Jimin on αмєяι¢α's most prestigious music chart, many people sent their wishes to him. That includes BTS members, Jimin's dad as well as the FACE album co-producers that make Jimin extremely happy.
In particular, with the greeting received from this special person, Jimin seemed to burst into tears and was very grateful:
On April 4 (KST), Billboard announced the names of the top 10 songs on this week's singles chart via the official Twitter. The first impression for all music fans in general and ARMYs, in particular, is that No.1 belongs to Like Crazy by BTS Jimin.
Jimin exactly took first place on Billboard's 'Hot 100' as a solo artist with the title track for his album FACE. Jimin is also the first solo K-pop artist to receive this honor. Along with this achievement, Jimin has reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 as a group and as a solo singer.
Previously, among K-pop solo singers, the previous Hot 100 chart-topper was Psy, who ranked second for seven consecutive weeks with "Gangnam Style" in 2012. And now, Jimin set a new record for K-pop artists, proving that K-pop history is written under his name.
Like Crazy is a synth-pop genre that emerged in the 1970s, it's a catchy song with a powerful synth sound and Jimin's unique vocals. With this solo debut, Jimin really brought an outstanding mark and style to the fans.
Before the resounding success of Like Crazy, Jimin couldn't fall asleep and had to immediately make a short broadcast to celebrate with fans. He also expressed his choking and deep thanks for achieving this great achievement.

SUGA also added his comment to congratulate Jimin on his new no.1 that: "Yes Park Jimin Billboard Hot 100 #1 artist you're so cool (let's go) concert guest ttang ttang ttang".
Jimin then shared that even a producer who accompanied him on the album FACE burst into tears. That PD called and congratulated Jimin for the great achievement that was worth their efforts. He told that: "The PDnim who helped me make the album was crying.. People were contacting me to congratulate me..."
Another important person in Jimin's life is his father, who also stayed up until morning when he heard the news about Like Crazy's achievement. After hearing Jimin's new songs for the first time, he was heartbroken to learn that he was going through a tough time that he couldn't help.
However, now, all the pain has turned into motivation and it has helped Jimin get to No.1 Billboard Hot 100 for the first time. Jimin's dad was so proud of him: "My father just called me a while ago and said he's proud of me. When I first made my father listen to the album he said he's sad/upset on listening to it. I don't know, he said the content of the album seemed sad".
And finally, among the most important people to Jimin, ARMY - who made this achievement with him is also the one who sends him the most happiness. Jimin was really grateful and touched that ARMYs joined him in achieving this success.
When it comes to ARMYs' achievements and support for the new album and Like Crazy, Jimin has nothing but choked up emotions.
