BTS Makes Submission To At Least Four Grammys Even When They Are Preparing For Enlistment

As for BTS, they have spent a number of years in their career fighting for the most expensive award on the planet. Touching the Grammys statue is the dream of many artists, especially Kpop idols and BTS is no exception.

Even when BTS is preparing for military enlistment, they are still considered to be good candidates for this award. According to exclusive news from Yonhap, BTS will have at least 4 songs submitted to compete at the 65th Grammy Awards.

Let's see what those works are:

BTS has earned nominations two years in a row for the 'Best Pop Duo / Group Performance' award at the Grammys. This is an award established in 2012 and is one of the Grammy's detailed Pop awards. This award is given to musicians who have achieved outstanding artistic achievement in pop vocals or performed as a duet, group or ensemble.

BTS made it to the final round in this category with their global hits "Dynamite" and "Butter", but unfortunately they haven't receive the award. According to information revealed from the US music industry, Yonhap reported that this year BTS will run for the Grammys with Yet To Come at this award.

In addition to this category, it is reported that 'My Universe', 'Bad decision' and 'Left and Right', which collect topics of beautiful pictures or funny stories, have been submitted to the 'Best Music Video' category. This is a song that some of the BTS members collaborated with world famous artists such as Benny Blanco, Snoop Dogg, Coldplay and Charlie Puth. They also said that this nomination was nominated by artists associated with BTS.

BTS released "Yet To Come" from the compilation album "Proof" in June of this year. Meanwhile, "My Universe" is an excellent song by BTS and Coldplay. Jungkook then collaborated with Charlie Puth on "Left and Right" and finally "Bad Decisions" was a collaboration between Jin, V, Jungkook and Jimin with Benny Blanco and Snoop Dogg. These hits are also eligible for 'Record of the Year' and 'Song of the Year'.

Meanwhile, this year, experts' comments on BTS's Grammy challenge were summed up as "It won't be easy, but it's worth doing in some fields". The US experts also said that with the collaboration of famous artists in the world and these songs have received a good response, BTS are expected to enter the 'Best Pop Duo / Group Performance'.

Among the songs submitted by BTS, 'My Universe' topped Billboard's main singles chart 'Hot 100'. However, unlike 2020 to 2021, when the English singles "Dynamite" and "Butter" were popular around the world, this year, only one compilation album "Proof" was released and it is a Korean song so there is a comment that it cannot be optimistic.

'Left and Right', in which Jungkook collaborated with American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth, entered Billboard's main singles chart 'Hot 100' at number 85 for 17 consecutive weeks. In addition, it also achieved many high achievements on the US music charts. Similar achievements are also recorded with Bad Decision, which brings optimistic signals.

The official nominations will be announced on November 15. But one thing that many people see is the persistence of BTS in pursuing their artistic path. Whether or not they receive nominations, the members have had a year of hard work and production of quality songs before preparing for the upcoming enlistment mission.
