BTS visited the White House on May 31st to discuss matters of Asian inclusion and representation, particularly to address the increasing cases of Asian hate crimes in recent times. Upon their arrival, the group first had a tour of the White House and filmed content with the White House digital team, according to a White House official, after which they convened at the White House press briefing room, and later on, they are expected to meet President Biden to celebrate AANHPI Heritage Month.
In the press briefing room, the members each had a chance to say a few words about the purpose of their visit, and here is what Jimin said:
“We were devastated by the recent surge of hate crimes including Asian American hate crimes, to put a stop on this and support this cause we like to take this opportunity to voice ourselves once again”
While standing on the podium, fans were very quick to notice how Jimin seemed to get extra attention from the reporters. In particular, they pointed out that when it was Jimin's turn to give his speech, there was an increase in the number and frequency of the camera shutter sounds, and some journalists were seen to take out their phones at that precise moment just to take photos of Jimin. He absolutely seemed like the main character of the event!
With the spotlight shining on him, Jimin also stepped up on the delivery of his speech and delivered it perfectly. Fans have continuously been singing his praises, citing the elegance and eloquence he delivered his speech, not forgetting his posture and maintaining eye contact with the camera and the audience to keep them engaged.
They especially fell in love with his soothing and healing voice, saying they could listen to him speaking all day even if they did not understand what he was saying. The message had even more of an impact with the way he worded it and the confidence and fierceness with which he delivered it, all while maintaining a polite tone. He really could pass for an actual president with the way he carries himself and presents his speech!
And, of course, fans could not fail to point out how good he looked. They said he was glowing and pointed out his perfect side profile, his perfect shiny and healthy hair, and his overall beauty. These are some of their comments:
"@jimiimm: Jimin carry himself so well i swear. Standing straight, heads up, eye contact with audience, nodding. God, he is so perfect that i lost words to describe ."
"@darlinjimi: his lips glossy, pretty, plumpy, skin glowy, his hair perfect ."
"@filterchocolate: The way he worded it. ‘Hate crimes including Asian American’, it was heartbreaking to notice so much tragedy across the world. And one that broke my heart was the recent school one in USA. I hope we don’t have to ever see or hear these tragedies ever again."
It was a moment of extreme pride for his fans, who kept swooning over how well he delivered his speech, how good he looked, and the mere fact that he was delivering a speech at the White House at such a young age!
PROUD OF JIMIN immediately entered Twitter trends as fans showered him with praises for a well-done job.
ARMYs are more than proud of their idol and all that he has achieved at such a young age, and for who he is as a person, it is no wonder that even the press seemed to be especially interested in him and his presence.
