In mid-October, Big Hit Music announced that the BTS members would enlist in the army, and the first person to perform the service was Jin. At the beginning of this month, Jin also applied to cancel the postponement of his enlistment and will go through the enlistment procedures according to the regulations of the Military Manpower Administration.
One news that makes ARMY even more heartbreaking is that Jin will soon enlist at the end of this month or early next month. That means the time to enlist will be very urgent, even Jin has not had time to spend much time with himself and his family before leaving home for a long time.

Not only that, many ARMYs quickly looked up the place Jin mentioned - 최전방 (the front line). And after finding out the information, ARMYs were heartbroken to learn that Jin's enlistment doesn't seem to be easy and he will have a very harsh winter coming up.
Specifically, in Korean Army, 최전방 front line means, Gyeonggi-do and northern Gangwon-do. border area in case of war, area close to or adjacent to main front line. It refers to Forward Edge of Battle Area (FEBA). It's cold place where you have to clean up snow every day because it snows a lot.
It's where you have to stand on the most dangerous alert because the position is so so important in the military areas. It's also the coldest place. Gangwon-do has had snow since October. It's snowing until April. So Jin must face about 6 months in the winter and snow.
It's a notorious place where snow is piled up again when you turn around after removing it. But there is one more thing that can comfort you a little bit that the meal will be delicious for the soldier because it's hard place to live. Morover, depending on camp, it is difficult to buy snacks and drinks because there is no PX and supply is not appropriate. So there's supply called golden wagon that comes once in a while.
