ARMYs Have Been Emotional By The Deep Meaning Of The Seemingly Simple Photo That RM Posted

A few hours ago, Big Hit Music announced that RM's first solo album will be released in early December. But a few minutes earlier, RM announced the news to ARMY through an Instagram post with a photo of himself.

Although it is just an ordinary photo with a few words shared by RM before the album's release, there are many deeper meanings that ARMYs are touched to discover. Here's what you can mull over about RM's upcoming photo and album:

According to announcements from RM and Big Hit Music, RM's new album will be called Indigo and will be officially released on December 2. Along with the album release, RM will have many other activities to promote his first album as a solo artist like other BTS members j-hope and Jin.

This is RM's first debut as a solo artist after 10 years of being associated with the name of BTS. RM also has a very special way of informing his beloved ARMYs about the release of this new album.

Specifically, RM definitely knows when Big Hit Music will announce the album but he makes sure he's the first one to let ARMYs know about it 5 minutes before any official announcement will be released. He's obviously very happy and excited, can't wait to tell ARMYs about it by himself.

Not only that, RM also used a photo that looks simple at first glance, but it actually represents the album and the deep meanings behind it. At first glance it looked like it was just a photo of an indigo-colored cloth, the same name as his new album, but then ARMYs quickly figured out the meaning of the picture, which Namjoon called a "mood cut" but not album cover and the level of meaning of his album.

As everyone knows about indigo color is created by Newton. There is speculation that Newton only included indigo in the color of the spectrum so that there are seven colors. This is the result of an occult belief that you need seven colors so that they can combine and create white. Others believe that Newton only used indigo because he followed a long-standing traditional pattern: seven days of the week, seven major planets in our solar system, and so on.

That is, the color indigo has a close meaning to the number 7 and the number 7 also represents BTS. Not only that, RM also said that the color indigo is the most appropriate color to describe him in the 'Proof' Collector's Edition Interview. It means that RM is like the indigo color, added to form the perfect 7.

RM also explained that he used to like black and white and see the world in gray. But it seems that now, RM has had a transition from monochrome to indigo, from gray to blue. Especially interesting when you remember Namjoon saying that he sees the world in gray and sees himself as indigo.

Coincidentally, indigo in Korean is 남색 (Namseok). It can also be an acronym for 남준의 색깔 (Namjoon wi seok kkal), meaning Namjoon’s colors. So indigo truly represents for RM.

What's more, do you remember about RM's Mono mixtape? Which he worked during his darkest period. The more you know about it, the more you get to know his Indigo. If Mono talks about Namjoon's connection to the world, the fact that Indigo talks about who RM and RM is not too far off shows a great artistic vision and deep meaning that RM wants to convey.

Really this album of RM will be like a story stretching from the past to the present. It is like an art picture with many layers of meaning and the artist who created it, is truly a musical genius!
