SUGA went to the 2nd city of αmєrícα to continue his concert. In front of the eager waiting of hundreds of thousands of fans, even the cold and rainy weather did not stop their enthusiasm when appearing in front of the concert venue very early.
However, ARMYs seem to have been нυят and feel very disappointed by the way the staff of Prudential Center treated them badly. It was reported that PruCenter's staff had an inefficient way of working leading to chaos before and during the concert.
But fortunately after that, the situation did not last long thanks to the timely handling of SUGA crew:
On April 29 (local time), SUGA held the 3rd concert in his concert series in 9 major cities around the world. Before that, SUGA had two consecutive days of performances at UBS Arena, Belmont Park in New York to open the world tour.
SUGA brought many interesting performances from opening with Haegeum to ending with The Last. All were carefully prepared by him and drove viewers crazy with his vibrant and pa̾s̾sionate performances.
Meanwhile, today, SUGA continues to bring those stages to Prudential Center, Newark in the expectation of hundreds of thousands of fans. Right from around 8-9 AM, fans lined up in front of the stadium to wait until the concert time in the evening. This is also a common form of fans who come to see concerts.
However, the situation was fine until it started to get cold and rainy the night before the show in New Jersey and the behavior of the staff at PruCenter left fans feeling frustrated. Specifically, that's when the ARMYs started moving to enter the stadium.
At this time, it was raining heavily and it was also very cold, but the fans still lined up in 3 rows without any guidance. There is no Prudential Center staff to manage and guide fans in line, but ARMYs manage it themselves to keep the area from being chaotic.
Despite the cold rain, PruCenter's staff seemed to be very rude not to resolve the situation quickly and let ARMYs inside, causing the situation to persist for hours up to 30 minutes before the concert started. Many ARMYs talked about the chaotic situation at that time when other disabled fans as well as service dog people had to stand in the rain. Moreover, there is no special support for people with disabilities to attend the concert.
Specificially, someone fainted waiting in the rain and the cold for about 6 hours, medics had to be called twice. The heavy rain and string cold wind made 80% of the pit be sick and they thought that they couldn't suffer from this and could faint soon if this situation continued.
It is a̾s̾sumed that PruCenter's staff does this to punish ARMYs waiting to enter the arena because some were forming lines for GA before 9 AM. The staff then basically let everyone stand in the rain, ARMYs soaking in their coats, with disabilities or even service dogs and making them struggle to enter the arena out of pettiness. Not only is this disgusting but also really disrespectful and insensitive!
Moreover, the PruCenter's staff randomly picked people from multiple lines based on the group's size/number of tickets. They even have like one staff member out there with no megaphone like what the h3ll.
Fortunately, after that, D-Day concert's staff were mobilized and resolved the chaos of the crowd. These staff members are said by ARMYs to be much nicer and very efficient, giving the crowd rea̾s̾surance. Thanks to that, fans got inside safely right close to the show time. Some ARMYs told that PruCenter's staff were embarra̾s̾sed at the moment when they got switched out by the artist's staff.
This is not the only situation where people have been disappointed in the way Prudential Center employees are organized. During the concert, a group of fans were being extremely rude and kept shouting at everyone around them and being cocky towards other people because they don't wan't anybody to touch their shoulders or standing too close to them at barricade.
It took a while, along with SUGA's crew, for the security staff to arrive and take the troublemakers out to restore order. It seems to be a bad experience for ARMYs with the inefficient operation of PruCenter even though they have many years of experience in organizing concerts for big artists. That's why SUGA's Crew, despite being very busy, still tries to support the fans as much as possible.
ARMYs expressed their outrage after witnessing these situations:
- Prudential Center remember this: you'll never gonna be on the list of concert venues ever again
- I feel so bad for everyone attending here. the way you had to wait outside in such rain and rude treatment is just….Take care
- Gosh, it's raining and cold, makes me remember Chicago
- Prudential staff has been ḧöŕŕïḅŀệ
- Please take care, maybe u should go back, change clothes and then come back? Idk if it’s even an option, but do what is best for u. Yoongi also will be so sad seeing u guys in that state((
- congratulations @PruCenter for creating one of the most ∂αиgєяous and terrible general admissions checkin situations i’ve ever ḟüċḳing seen and experienced. to have hundreds of people trapped in lines in the pouring, freezing rain is so beyond a safety hazard i’ve lσst the words
- So sorry!! @AllstateArena please don’t let this happen during the Suga shows!!!
- @LiveNation @VIPNation @PruCenter this was the furthest thing from a VIP experience I’ve ever experienced. Disgusting. The power tripping was THE WORST. Disorganized and just downright disgusting response to their poor planning and efforts. I’m offended to be honest.
- If someone got нυят, this could be a lawsuit. WOW....
- THIS. I sadly witnessed a disabled army get sent to the back of the line when they asked for ADA access to the check in line. The staff response was literally: “I don’t even have an umbrella. I’m soaking wet too. You guys aren’t the only ones suffering out here.”
- prudential is a mess..
- How about you have better organization and helpful staff for the #ARMY that is standing in the freezing rain, soaked head to toe for hours? There’s already been one medical emergency and people’s fingers are turning blue. #dobetter
