Since the 7th of this month, BTS has returned to мєχι¢σ for the first time in nine years to hold concerts at Estadio GNP Seguros. After such a long wait, the enthusiasm of local fans exploded powerfully, with the entire country seemingly swept up in a true “BTS fever.” Among them, V made a striking impression with his new two-tone hairstyle. He immediately drew attention from fans in attendance with visuals reminiscent of an animated character.
When the main performance began, V commanded the stage with explosive vocals and an intense performance. Balancing his captivating stage presence with his signature playful and contrasting charm, he once again proved himself to be a true “stage genius.”

V also demonstrated his overwhelming popularity by recording the highest number of social media mentions for two consecutive days. Search interest also reached a perfect 100% on Google Trends in мєχι¢σ. Special gifts from fans soon followed as well. The Mexican fan community “Kim Taehyung MX” announced that they had installed a commemorative plaque engraved with V’s real name — Kim Taehyung — on the silver wall of Museo de Arte Popular in the center of the capital. They described it as “a space created with respect, remembrance, and affection.”
In response to the pαѕѕionate love from local ARMYs on the final night before leaving the country, V left fans completely amazed with a two-minute speech delivered entirely in Spanish.
Specifically, during the ending ment of the third concert, V spoke to fans in Spanish without the help of an interpreter, saying: “мєχι¢σ! I learned a little Spanish. I want to tell you in Spanish that I'm here right now. First of all, I miss Ami from мєχι¢σ so much. I love Ami from мєχι¢σ so much. So it's because you love me a lot too. You are the reason for my life, you are my everything, I love you…”
Not stopping at heartfelt words for Mexican ARMYs, V also made the entire stadium burst into laughter with humorous remarks such as, “A lot of spice. No cilantro please.” In particular, since the concert took place on Mother’s Day in мєχι¢σ, the idol also shared a warm message: “By the way, today is Mother’s Day. Have you congratulated them yet? Call now. Video call. Mom Maria. Mom Teresa. Mom Lupe. Mom Coco. Thank you for raising us. Happy Mother’s Day, moms. We love you.”
Even though Spanish is not his native language, V spoke continuously for nearly two minutes with clear pronunciation, natural intonation, and speech that was easy to understand, leaving many fans surprised by his ability to learn and speak Spanish. Longtime fans likely know that V has a strong pαѕѕion for learning languages in order to communicate with global fans. He had also started learning Spanish during the filming of Jinny's Kitchen in мєχι¢σ. At the time, he often stu∂ιєd even on airplanes, writing vocabulary into a small notebook to practice. From then until now, his Spanish sкιℓℓs have clearly improved significantly.
Not only during the final concert, but also throughout fan events at Zócalo and the previous two concert nights, V consistently tried to communicate with fans in Spanish. At one point, he even typed messages into his phone to express how much he and the members had missed мєχι¢σ. He also repeatedly emphasized how impressed he was by the pαѕѕionate energy of local fans, saying: “The energy here is amazing. Thank you everyone for loving us.”
Notably, the phrase “Mucho picante,” which V repeatedly mentioned during the concerts, quickly became a viral phenomenon in мєχι¢σ. Local news channels even used the phrase as a major headline, while social media became flooded with memes related to the idol. El Financiero also showed great interest in V, highlighting his Spanish-speaking ability and his special connection with мєχι¢σ dating back to his previous filming experience there.

But beyond his fluency in the language, what moved fans the most was the sincerity V showed toward мєχι¢σ and its people. The idol demonstrated genuine respect for local culture, a desire to repay fans’ love, and a sincere effort to connect with them through their own language. On social media, many fans expressed their happiness and emotional reactions to the idol’s actions:
- In мєχι¢σ we say “mi casa es tu casa” to make someone feel loved and always welcome. I hope Taehyung knows that whenever he comes here, he'll always have a home waiting for him with so much love. Tae hermano, you're mexican now
- Taehyung is such a good human being. He gives me new reasons to fall for him deeply everyday
- Lupe must be rolling [in her grave] somewhere seeing Taehyung mention her name hahahahaha
- The way Taehyung keeps improving his Spanish every time makes me so proud of him
- Taehyung’s pronunciation is so good, you can tell how much effort he puts into learning. This so precious. He was really happy in мєχι¢σ
- But where did he learn to speak Spanish? They’re definitely going to be fluent by October when they visit South αмєяι¢α! Huge thanks to мєχι¢σ ARMYs for giving them such a warm welcome—it clearly motivated the boys to work hard on the language. I never thought Tae would end up greeting my mom lol
- Gosh, I love him so much for this. There are a million reasons why he's my bias. The fact that he learned Spanish is beyond what anyone expected, and his pronunciation is great. I bet he'll be speaking it fluently and more in-depth by the time he's back in мєχι¢σ
- Taehyung speaks with so much affection and emotion it reaches your heart instantly
- Taehyung, you are the most beautiful idol I will ever know in this lifetime. I love hearing you speak Spanish so much. My dear, you are also our everything
- Kim Taehyung is the sweetest, so thoughtful but also funny at the same time. No fake all genuine
- The fact that he wished even ‘Lupe’ ,kinda ironic but he always somehow shows kindness to even his haters. He is so full of love and Mexican armys treated him so well
