Specifically, the dancer at the center of the controversy is named Yubin, a backup dancer with the dance crew Peace Maker (@peace_maker_official). No personal relationship between her and Jungkook has been officially confirmed.

However, some overly obsessive fans have seized on supposed “coincidences” to fuel the dating rumors. Initially, the speculation stemmed mainly from claims that Jungkook had liked or reposted the dancer’s Instagram posts. Some accounts then began collecting photos and Stories from locations that both had allegedly visited during the South αмєяι¢αn tour, using them to speculate that the two might be dating.

More notably, some people accused the dancer of using a separate private Instagram account to interact with shipping accounts dedicated to her and Jungkook, criticizing her for allegedly deliberately fueling the rumors. The controversy escalated further when some extreme netizens brought up another unfounded dating rumor that has circulated for years involving Jungkook and a famous female K-pop idol, going as far as accusing him of “cheating.”

This led to waves of online attacks against the dancer, with her Instagram account flooded with spam and inappropriate comments. Jungkook was also dragged into these negative discussions. In response, many ARMY stepped forward to defend both the dancer and their idol, pushing back against speculation that lacked credible evidence.

Fans pointed out that throughout the ARIRANG tour, Jungkook has been actively reposting content from nearly all the dancers on the crew, both male and female. If the logic that “reposting means dating” were applied, he would be dating the entire crew. The woman is simply a professional colleague, and labeling every woman who comes into contact with Jungkook as his “girlfriend” is a familiar pattern used by antis to stir up drama.

Some ARMY also challenged the photos presented as evidence that the two had visited the same location. They pointed out that Jungkook had visited Confitería Torres in Chile, while the photo attributed to the dancer was actually taken at a location in Peru. She was with a group of around five dancers, whereas Jungkook was accompanied by BTS members. Even this single example highlights just how baseless and absurd the dating rumors are.

Many fans emphasized that the dancer is simply doing her professional job as part of BTS’s performance crew and deserves to be treated with respect. ARMY also called on people to stop dragging Jungkook into unconfirmed dating rumors. Their reactions included:
