Talent, kindness, sunny smile, friendliness... are what ARMYs think of when talking about j-hope. Over the years, witnessing images of J-Hope from on screen to real life and hearing stories told by people who directly worked with him, we can see who J-Hope really is. What a wonderful person.

But not only did he show those things when he was an idol, even when he was in the army, J-Hope still showed that his personality shines everywhere. Recently, an ARMY re-shared a story where the mother of a m̴i̴l̴i̴t̴a̴r̴y̴ recruit at j-hope's training camp and her son shared what the Kpop superstar did for the trainees with as a teaching αѕѕistant.

This mother was very touched by j-hope's care for her son as well as the other rookies. ARMYs, after hearing the story, couldn't help but be proud of their great warrior:

Since j-hope enlisted in April 2023 to complete his m̴i̴l̴i̴t̴a̴r̴y̴ service as an active sol∂ιєr, fans have heard many stories about him through fellow sol∂ιєrs or sol∂ιєrs. images posted on The Camp. Most of the sol∂ιєrs who came into contact with j-hope in the army could not help but praise his good personality and expressed their happiness when living with the Kpop superstar with a golden personality.

Along with his good qualities, even in the m̴i̴l̴i̴t̴a̴r̴y̴, j-hope has shown outstanding achievements, achieving the highly respected title of αѕѕistant coach after only 1 month of basic training and becoming among the few selected “Special Clαѕѕ (Elite) Warriors”. Similar to Jin, j-hope became a typical m̴i̴l̴i̴t̴a̴r̴y̴ role model for young men enlisting in the kσrєαn army. Because of this, he received a lot of attention and his teammates were constantly "bragging" about him to their family and friends.

Although j-hope's m̴i̴l̴i̴t̴a̴r̴y̴ life requires privacy, fans look forward to updates on his situation shared by his teammates. Recently, a post by an ARMY quickly attracted attention after sharing the account of an acquaintance, who gave a detailed look at j-hope as an αѕѕistant instructor in m̴i̴l̴i̴t̴a̴r̴y̴.

The OP (original poster) prefaced the story by saying that their colleague recently showed them j-hope’s photo, asking if they knew him. When OP asked her why she showed them the picture, the coworker revealed that her son had recently enlisted, and j-hope was one of his training instructors. She described him as a kind instructor who always gives out hugs to cheer up trainees!

She mentioned: "Today, my coworker asked me, 'Unnie, do you know this person by any chance?" and showed me Hobi's photo and it was our sunshine. I asked "What's this?". She said her son recently enlisted in the m̴i̴l̴i̴t̴a̴r̴y̴, and one of the training instructors is so nice to him, cheering him up with a hug, and praising him with a hug, smiling at him...Her son said he was famous but such a good human, and wouldn't stop praising him... So knowing that I am ARMY, she asked me if I knew him."

In the follow-up Tweet, the OP added a specific incident shared by the trainee’s mother. While she admitted that all the instructors are friendly to the sol∂ιєrs, j-hope is extra gentle and treats them like a big brother. When OP’s coworker’s son ȟɥȑț his finger during sho0ting training, the BTS member went out of his way to give him a detailed demonstration of how to use the gvn without putting too much pressure on his wounded finger.

She continued: "Other training instructors are all nice to them, but what can I say...Hobi treats them so delicately like a big brother taking care of his younger brother. My coworker's son ȟɥȑț his finger while training, and got pointed out during sho0ting training, and Hobi showed him how to avoid putting too much strain on his injured finger with detailed demonstration".

Though, according to OP, j-hope is strict during the training sessions, during the breaks, he never fails to check upon the trainees. OP’s coworker also said that her son had gotten more hugs from the rapper than he had from his parents. Specificially, OP heard that Hobi as a training instructor is so shining. During training, he's a little strict, but during the break, he checks on trainees' condition and says nice things to them. She heard that her coworker's son got more hugs from him than from his mom and dad.

In another comment, the OP mentioned that their coworker’s son also approached j-hope for a picture, to which he enthusiastically agreed. Though the trainee was hesitant due to j-hope’s celebrity, it all disappeared as he put his arm around him while posing for the photo. OP wrote that: "Her son carefully asked Hobi if he could take a picture together. Hobi made a heart-shaped smile and said "of course" and even put his arm around the sol∂ιєr's shoulder and took the picture. The sol∂ιєr was a little concerned because he's so famous, but Hobi was an absolute angel. I guess he's making fanboys there". 

j-hope is expected to be discharged from his m̴i̴l̴i̴t̴a̴r̴y̴ duties on October 17, 2024, and from the looks of it, by that time the army and ARMYs might just become one and all!
