Although the BTS members are very busy with their schedules, sometimes they also have a movie they want to watch and make time for it. Especially V, he has repeatedly suggested some of his favorite trending movies to ARMY. Here are 10 V‘s choices:

1. Squid  Game

In 2021, Squid Game mania swept the world. This bloody K-Drama simulates a contest consisting of 456 contestants. They go through too many rounds and compete in a deadly tournament for cash. The drama's appeal is immense and even V is drawn to it. V even dressed up as a Squid Game guardl on the PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LA stage.

2. Parasite

Parasite is a movie that made a great impression on Korean cinema in 2019. Parasite won big at the 92nd Academy Awards, taking home the awards for “Best Picture,” “Best Director,” “Best Original Screenplay,” and “Best International Feature Film.”

Not only that, but V's best friend, actor Choi Woo Shik, plays the lead role in this drama. Therefore, V personally introduced the drama during a live broadcast. Parasite tells the story of a poor family who gradually infiltrate and take over the house of a rich family by getting a job in the family.

3. Red Notice

On Instagram, V once shared a clip from the movie Red Notice starring Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot. He must have been very interested in this movie so he just updated it on his personal account for ARMY to enjoy together. 

All in all, this 2021 action comedy follows an FBI agent who joins forces with an art thief to catch a daring criminal. The attractive plot along with the good acting of the actors is definitely a great choice for you.

4. About time

If you are a fan of V's warm song Winter Bear, you probably remember that the inspiration for the song's birth was from the 2013 British romantic comedy - About Time. About Time is about a time traveler who decides to use his abilities to change his life. He goes back in time to meet and find the love of his life.

The romantic proposal scene in this movie partly inspired V's song "Winter Bear", which he once said: "There is a scene where he proposes when she is about to go to sleep…She was sleeping and the man was kneeling. He was kneeling to propose. That scene was so impressive."

5. Itaewon Class

Another hot film that V has taken part in the soundtrack you must not forget is Itaewon class. V had recorded the song “Sweet Night” for it and the song is so wonderful. The 2020 K-Drama starring V's friend, actor Park Seo Joon. Itaewon Class follows an ex-con and his friends, a group of misfits, who dream of opening a street bar. To make this dream a reality, they have to take on a powerful corporate foe.

6. Howl's Moving Castle

V is also a loyal fan of Anime and he has seen the movie Howl's Moving Castle. This is this 2004 animated classic about a hatter, Sophie, whose witch curse turns her into an old woman. On her journey to break the curse, Sophie meets a powerful witch named Howl, who lives in an enchanted and moving castle. After that, interesting stories began to be born.

7. Navillera

In 2018, V recommended a webtoon that has now been turned into a K-Drama. Navillera is a 2021 K-Drama about a 70-year-old man who, with the help of a young ballerino, fulfills his lifelong dream of dancing ballet while battling Alzheimer’s.

8. Crows Zero

V seems to like many action movies and delinquents because an other action movie in his list is Japanese cult classic - Crows Zero (2007). The movie is all about the power struggle between student gangs at Suzuran All-Boys High School.

9. Summer Wars

After Howl’s Moving Castle, V recommend you not to pass an other interesting anime film named Summer Wars. There are many virtual reality stories, chances are you’ll fall head over heels for Summer Wars. This 2009 anime movie is about a teen math genius who is enlisted by his crush to play the role of her fake boyfriend at her grandmother’s birthday party. 

10. Born To Be Blue

V is a lover of jazz and trumpet music. So Born To Be Blue is on his list of favorite movies. This 2015 film is the story of the life of American jazz musician Chet Baker.
