First, Jin talks about the origin of this character but it is quite complicated. Jin really thinks a lot about ARMY and he hopes that while he is away from ARMY for a while, Wootteo will help him take care and comfort us. He even feared that if it was someone else, it would be difficult for ARMYs to accept and that's why he created the astronaut character.

Besides, Jin also shared that Woodteo's original name was not like that. He had many choices for this character's name but in the end he chose the name Woodteo because of its special meaning.

Jin said: "Wootteo's original first name was Woodori. I thought Woojoobihaengsa (astronaut) plus Dori (like a cute way of calling a boy) but they asked if I had another name and I thought Wootteo for Woojoo Tteodori (space wanderer) so we went with Wootteo".
