Why Are ARMYs Rushing To Buy A Pair Of Nike Shoes?

BTS has always been famous for having a golden hand in business. Just kidding, it means that anything they touch can be sold-out instantly. Therefore, brands always hope to be noticed by BTS, although, over the years, BTS has been very limited in signing commercial contracts with brands.

Just in a lucky moment, when BTS chose to use the product of that brand and then ARMYs found out, it only took a few minutes for the item to be purchased. But recently, ARMYs are rushing to buy a pair of Nike shoes that are not used or mentioned by the BTS members, it simply gives people the feeling of being a member of the group.

That's why, the purchasing power of ARMYs is amazing and brands seem to find a way to make products more attractive to ARMYs:

Nike does not seem to be a strange brand for young people. It is one of the most famous and recognizable footwear brands. From Air Jordans to Converse, some of the best sneakers are made by Nike.

Nike, Inc. is an American multinational corporation engaged in the design, development, manufacture, marketing, and sale of footwear, clothing, equipment, accessories, and services worldwide. BTS members also own many items from this brand and more specifically, RM is also a close friend of Nike Influencer Marketing Brand Director Taehoon Lee.

But recently, there is a product from Nike that has never been mentioned or experienced by BTS but has captured the attention of ARMYs because of its unique design. It was a pair of blue and white shoes called Indigo, which made them think of leader RM and the new album.

The reason why ARMYs are attracted to the shoes is because RM recently released his first official solo album, titled Indigo. The shoes also fit perfectly with his album aesthetic. It has a white main tone, indigo blue Nike logo and brown wood details. Not only that, the sole of the shoe is also embroidered with flowers, giving a vibe that really resembles RM's new album.

So, when the new shoes became hot in the ARMY community, some people wondered if the shoes were really a collaboration between Nike and RM. Many people also think that because RM has a close friend who is a director of Nike, it is possible that this design idea was derived from RM's album.

However, later, many people learned that the shoes had been out for more than a year. Nike released the “Indigo” shoes as part of their Floral Collection in 2021. You can buy them in a variety of styles, such as the Air Force 1, Daybreak, Blazer Mid '77, and more.

Among them, the pair that ARMYs are looking for is the Nike Blazer Mid '77 'Indigo'. The Nike Blazer Mid ‘77 ‘Indigo’ updates the vintage silhouette with a sustainable build that incorporates at least 20% recycled content by weight. The upper is constructed from breathable white canvas with tonal synthetic suede overlays and an indigo plant graphic embroidered on the lateral heel. Plan-dyed blue accents appear on the retro Swoosh and heel tab, the latter featuring a scientific infographic on the right shoe. Recycled cork is utilized on the tongue tag and heel strip, while the herringbone rubber outsole is infused with the same natural plant material.

Many ARMYs even shared that at the time the shoes came out and there was no Indigo album, they also bought them when thinking of RM because it fits perfectly with “Namjooning”. A slightly classic style, full of artistry but also very sophisticated. Now, many people have found it back in their drawers after it became noticed.

However, since these shoes are not on sale, buying or finding them is now a no-brainer. Even the price of the shoes after a year of release is not cheaper. You can expect to spend over $100 on these Indigo shoes.
