All of today's top Kpop artists such as BTS, SEVENTEEN, NewJeans, TXT, LE SSERAFIM, ENHYPEN,... are under the management of this Kpop empire. Although these groups are managed by HYBE's sub-labels and often operate independently, some systematic activities are carried out under the overall management of HYBE.

One of the activities mentioned is the training of trainees and idols, also known as the student development process. This process is responsible for the Training and Development (T&D) team and the head is Mrs. Shin Seon Jeong. While this department takes on the main role in creating top idols, one of the critical parts of training new talents is directly influenced by a member of BTS. That's team leader RM!

Specifically, according to the Training and Development (T&D) team, one of the important parts of training new talents is exposing them to all genres of music. This part of the system has been led by RM since he was a trainee. Until now, RM's influence on this content is still maintained and has left good results for trainees and even debuted idols like TXT or LE SSERAFIM.

It is known that when BTS were trainees, RM would often compile songs of different genres and hand out the playlist to the trainees to help them expand their taste. Apart from a few occasions where the members mentioned it on camera, it is also touched upon in BTS’s memoir, Beyond The Story.

The head of HYBE’s T&D, Shin Seon Jeong, said she saw first-hand how effective RM’s mєthod proved. She mentioned that TXT was the group that reflected the benefits of this practice to such an extent that she was convinced to incorporate it into HYBE’s training system. The T&D team members emphasized that this practice is seen as a necessary step for the trainees to understand and explore their feelings about music more so that they can enjoy the profession of being a musician.

One of the ways HYBE exposes its trainees to different music genres includes a mєthod shared by LE SSERAFIM’s Eunchae. She recalled one of her αssignments where she worked hard identifying genres of different songs.

Additionally, TXT member Soobin said that listening to playlists with a wide variety of songs made him “understand music more.” On the other hand, his groupmate Taehyun testified that he “received the most positive influence” through this process as he was introduced to his current favorite genres through it.

In a way, then, the foundational process of creating genuine artists under HYBE is somєthing spearheaded by RM. Ever since he was a trainee, RM has shown how sharp and incredible his leadership and thinking sḳïŀŀs in the industry are. As expected, he is still the most talented leader of BTS and even HYBE!
