Weverse's New Feature Proposed By V Is Now Widely Used By Many Idols

The ARMY fandom is renowned for its mαѕѕive global fanbase and is often seen as a model of dedication to their idols. The bond between BTS and ARMY is admired worldwide, as it goes far beyond the typical relationship between artists and fans.

For over a decade, BTS has built this close connection not only through their music and social contributions but also by consistently engaging and interacting with their fans on social media. Among the members, V stands out for his dedication and effort.

This is especially evident in the way he frequently spends time chatting with ARMYs like close friends on Weverse. More than just using the platform as an artist, he has continuously suggested new ideas to enhance the user experience, making Weverse increasingly convenient and engaging.

His dedication was even officially recognized when Weverse presented him with an honorary Creative Director certificate—an acknowledgment that his ideas and contributions have had a direct influence on the platform’s development. The Weverse staff, too, has shown their willingness to listen to V’s suggestions and implement them promptly.

Most recently, V once again contributed an impactful idea for the platform. Back to a live broadcast on July 15 with RM and Jungkook in the U.S., he ever proposed a feature that would allow artists from different groups to go live together on Weverse.

“I want to do lives with other artists too, like the TXT kids. For example, with Beomgyu or Yeonjun or Taehyunie—together with these chingus in a live,” he imagined, adding that both idols and fans would enjoy this feature.

The idea quickly gained support from fans, who were excited by the possibility of seeing interactions between BTS members and idols from other groups. The addition of cross-artist live streams opened up a whole new space for interaction—revealing friendships between idols or even creating opportunities for them to connect.

Remarkably, just two months after V’s suggestion, Weverse turned it into reality. On September 16, Yunjin from LE SSERAFIM hosted a live broadcast with Sophia and Lara of KATSEYE using the new feature—soмєтнing unprecedented on the platform. The broadcast sparked excitement among fans of both groups.

When the feature was released, fans praised V as a truly talented creative director and commended Weverse for acting quickly and seriously on his ideas. Many also expressed anticipation, hoping that V himself would soon try out the feature with TXT members or other idols, just as he had wished.

This is not the first time V has shown his creativity, nor the first time Weverse has demonstrated its responsiveness. During several Weverse lives (especially between 2022–2023), V openly voiced frustrations about the app’s interface and usability. Soon after, Weverse rolled out updates such as Dark Mode, new tabs (Highlight, Fan Letter, Notice), and the option to pin favorite communities to the homepage.

In another instance, V complained about difficulties in finding past posts, photos, or videos, as well as in managing interactions (as fans noted). Weverse later addressed these issues by adding features like bookmarks in DMs, saving photos and videos in DMs, and upgraded notification settings.

What stands out is that very few artists so openly contribute creative, concrete, and valuable feedback as V does. At a time when social media platforms are becoming increasingly competitive, ideas born from the firsthand experience of superstars like V are key to helping Weverse maintain its edge.
