A new season of Grammys has pαѕѕed and people are talking about the gain and loss stories of the artists nominated at this great award. BTS is also one of those artists and this year, people talk about regrets when the group did not win.
Only the Grammys award is one of the three biggest awards in the US that BTS does not have in their collection. Of course, there's a bit of regret here, perhaps for both the group and the fans. And at such times, ARMYs mentioned the moment when V's father comforted the members when the group did not win the Grammys before.
V's father's love and concern has made the members feel much more comforted:
It can be said that BTS has reached the heights that any boy group must admire. Even, they are also the first K-pop boy group to win important awards at 2 of the 3 biggest awards in the US, the Billboard Music Award and the αmєrícαn Music Award. The group is also the first K-pop group to win nominations for three consecutive years at the prestigious Grammys.
This year the 65th Grammys was held on February 5, 2023 at Crypto.com, Los Angeles, USA. This year, BTS has shown their extraordinary strength when they were nominated for GRAMMYS for three consecutive years in the category of Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. This year, BTS and Coldplay are nominated in this category for their collaboration song “My Universe”. Additionally, BTS' title track, "Yet To Come" from their compilation album, PROOF, was nominated for Best Music Video. With the participation in composing in "My Universe", the group was also nominated as the artist performing in the album Music of Spheres - nominated in the Album of the Year category.
However, in the third year of competing for the Grammy, BTS once again ended the finale with empty hands. This year, Best Music Video went to Taylor Swift and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance went to Sam Smith and Kim Petras. The winners are all well-deserved, presenting soṃệẗḧing very different and fresh through their music. But from the perspective of fans and experts, they all affirmed that BTS's failure to win the Grammys does not mean failure.
But of course this year, a bit of regret may have come to the minds of ARMYs and possibly BTS members. Because of the previous years, the members were also looking forward to this award. especially, in the first year the group won the Grammys nomination with Dynamite, BTS and their families were nervous every minute while waiting for the announcement of the winner.
The very video that V's father called BTS after the Grammys was announced is also being repeated these days as it is truly a warm consolation for BTS and ARMYs during each past Grammys. Specifically, that year, V's father watched the whole award ceremony and right after the award ceremony ended, his father called to talk to the members.
V's father watched the whole process of the awards ceremony and like the members, he was expecting good news but things didn't go right. So when the members sat backstage, dad called V and talked to all the members like his own children.
He cutely reminded and comforted the members that: "Don't be too sad". He also seems to understand that the members also have expectations and hopes for the award. Thanks to V's father's sincere and humorous statement, the members then laughed in relief.
But even when V's father advised the group so, Jimin even joked a bit with V's father saying, "Dad, I'm so sad" in a childlike voice. That scene made ARMYs feel sobbing and αѕѕumed that if BTS were to watch it with their families this year, it could very well happen again.
Sure, every parent wants their child to achieve what he or she wants, but as everyone knows, even without the Grammys, BTS is already a legend. V's father and even the members' parents are proud of what BTS has accomplished. It was great that at that time, V's father reαѕѕured the members and always watched the distance they had come. He really has a sweet heart!
