V’s Thoughtfulness Toward ARMYs Attending His “TYPE“ Exhibition Leaves Fans Deeply Moved

On the afternoon of the 20th, visitors and ARMYs gathered at Frieze House Seoul in Jung-gu, Seoul, to view the works displayed at the exhibition “V TYPE 非 : ON-SITE IN SEOUL.” This offline exhibition was held to commemorate the release of V’s photobook TYPE 非 on the 19th.

The photobook marks his second work, following the release of TYPE 1 in 2024. While the previous project captured simple, natural moments from everyday life, this time V focuses on the concept of “non-fixity” (非고정성) — an idea that dissolves boundaries of form and genre. V was directly involved throughout the entire process, from the initial conceptual stage to the photoshoot itself, in order to express, with clarity and refinement, the many facets of “artist V” — someone who cannot be confined or defined by any single standard.

The exhibition space consists of a photo display area and a multimedia (media art) zone. Visitors are guided through the emotional flow of the photobook, allowing them to experience the works in the most vivid and immersive way possible. At the same time, fans are given the opportunity to view exclusive videos and images that have never been released before and can only be seen on-site. The event also holds special significance as it is the first photography exhibition ever held at this prestigious art venue.

After visiting the exhibition, many fans took to social media to share their honest experiences. They not only praised the artworks prepared by V, but also expressed excitement over the K-pop superstar’s thoughtfulness, evident in countless details — from the layout and scale of the exhibition to the sweet gifts he prepared for visitors.

What impressed most fans the most was a dedicated area where visitors could leave messages for V after completing the exhibition. At first glance, it resembled a large poster featuring his portrait from the TYPE 非 photobook; however, it was later explained that the piece was numbered and included blank spaces where visitors could write their messages.

In addition, the welcome gifts sparked envy among online fans. V presented visitors with a set of postcards matching the photobook’s concept, an exhibition catalogue, and a metal keyring. The exhibition also provided seating areas both indoors and outdoors, allowing visitors to rest or wait comfortably.

An international fan was unable to hold back their emotions after experiencing the exhibition, exclaiming: "It was so, so good. I teared up the moment I walked into the venue. I felt so many emotions at once — pride in how incredibly well he pulled it off, and even amazement at myself for suddenly having to rush out on an υиєχρє¢тє∂ errand without knowing if I could even make it. But in the end, I really did make it. That’s love, right?"

But wait, the biggest fan benefit was yet to come! At around 6 PM KST, some lucky fans discovered that V had personally dropped by the exhibition on its very first day. Remarkably, a Vietnamese fan had the chance to talk to him directly, and to her surprise, he was gracious enough to grant her a casual selfie together. The Vietnamese ARMY even gave him a travel recommendation, saying: “If you perhaps have some time, please go to Vietnam on vacation.” V immediately reacted with interest: “Oh really? Hanoi?” to which the fan replied: “Yes! But I’m living in Ho Chi Minh City.” She didn't forget to praise his new work: “This time, the photos came out so well!”, and V friendly responded: “Oh, the exhibition? Thank you!”

More than a simple display of photographs, the TYPE 非 exhibition was designed as a fully immersive experience — engaging visitors on a spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and visual level. It clearly reflects V’s creative vision and his deep understanding of his au∂ιєnce. Netizens on SNS have been full of praise for everything that director-artist V meticulously prepared for this project:
