V’s “Kiss“ Scene In His New Acting Project Is Going Viral

Alongside Jin, V is widely regarded as one of the two BTS members with the strongest acting potential. Despite having no formal professional training, he possesses remarkable promise, thanks to his distinctly cinematic features and a highly versatile range of facial expressions. To date, he also remains the only member of the group with hands-on experience in a K-drama project, having appeared in Hwarang, which was released a decade ago.

Although his role as Hansung was brief and ultimately cut short — his character meeting an early ∂єαтн due to BTS’s demanding schedule at the time — it was more than enough to leave a lasting impression on fans and the general public alike. For the past ten years, fans have continued to hold onto the hope that “actor V” would one day return to the screen. Debates surrounding his potential next role have never truly ∂ιєd down: some long to see him as a romantic male lead with lovestruck eyes, while others anticipate a dramatic transformation through action-packed films or dark, haunting genres such as horror and psychological thrillers.

Yet there is one thing that fans seemingly never imagined witnessing in his acting career: a genuine “kissing scene.” And that day has indeed arrived — sparking a wave of online reactions that were equal parts bewildered, amused, and ultimately impressed.

Specifically, the scene in question appears in an art video screened as part of the interactive exhibition “V TYPE 非 : ON-SITE IN SEOUL,” held at Frieze House Seoul from January 20 to February 1, 2026. In the video, V comes face to face with an animated green frog and υиєχρє¢тє∂ly shares a striking “lip-to-lip” moment with it. At first, fans jokingly referred to it as his first on-screen kiss. The topic of V kissing a pixelated frog is even trending on X now.

However, once the initial humor subsided, ARMYs were quick to point out that Taehyung never does anything without intention, prompting a deeper analysis of the artistic meaning behind the video — with V acting as both director and performer. While it may be called a kiss, the moment is, in fact, one where V is “swallowed” by the frog, serving as a powerful metaphor for transformation and liminality — the boundary between reality and illusion. Confronting the grotesque becomes a gateway to rebirth, reflecting an artistic mindset in constant motion and evolution.

And this is precisely the message V seeks to convey through his ambitious art project, “TYPE 非.” Comprising 278 pages across 20 chapters, accompanied by an on-site exhibition, the project is one in which Kim Taehyung was directly involved at every stage — from conceptualization to execution — in order to express the most abstract facets of his identity.

The project’s title features the Chinese character 非 (phi), meaning “non,” “opposite,” or “non-traditional.” It serves as V’s declaration of the concept of non-fixity — an existence that refuses to be static or confined to any single archetype or style. The character 非 also functions as a clever visual wordplay, its shape evoking the letter “V,” symbolizing both the intersection and the tension between Kim Taehyung, the private individual, and V, the public-facing artist.

If Layover is a musical album that reveals V’s inner emotional landscape, then “TYPE 非” exposes the soul behind that creative consciousness. Rather than following the conventional path of polished, aesthetically pleasing photo books, the project ventures deep into a surreal, multi-concept world where visual art takes center stage. Released shortly after he completed his military service, the project marks a pivotal turning point in his artistic journey — signaling the emergence of V as a visual artist with depth and substance.

At this point, V has undeniably succeeded in drawing the world’s attention to his complex and captivating inner universe, proving that his creative potential knows no bounds. Fans flooded social media with a wide range of reactions to the now-viral video:

- How to be a frog! Seriously, V has never disappointed au∂ιєnces when it comes to the artistic quality of his work.

- It’s no longer just about being jealous of a tuna — now it’s a frog. Taehyung, what have you done?

- Can't blame the frog though. I'd devour him too given the chance

- Thinking out of the box took a whole another level. He left me both amused and bewildered, and ultimately in αωє of his artistic vision.

- This man doesn’t exist. You never know what he’s going to do next lol — a diva, the enemy of boring photoshoots.

- I laughed, I froze, and then I realized I was actually witnessing art. Only Taehyung

- He really said ‘I refuse to be predictable’ and turned it into a whole artistic statement

- Even Taehyung’s first on-screen kiss was never soмєтнing simple
