According to them, RM said, “Be good to the staff,” and j-hope said, “Don’t take the things you always enjoy for granted, but be humble.” The biggest and most essential common thread between these two pieces of advice is this: build a sustainable career on a foundation of character.

RM wanted his juniors to understand that they are not above anyone else, while j-hope wanted them to realize that success is not a permanent privilege reserved only for them. Specifically, on these days, a TikTok user named Kim, who lives in fяαи¢є and runs the account @kimonset, shared a behind-the-scenes story from when she worked directly with V during the filming of the music video for his digital single “Winter Ahead” in November 2022, at a castle in the Versailles area of fяαи¢є.

The song carries V’s heartfelt wish for ARMYs—both in кσяєα and around the world—to have a happy winter. After its release, the track entered the Billboard Hot 100, topped the Holiday Digital Song Sales chart, and ranked No. 62 on the Holiday Top 100.

Back to the main story: in her video, the interpreter mentioned two moments involving V that have stayed with her ever since. The first was when V gave up his seat for the staff, even though he was a global superstar and the main figure on set.

“After a few takes, while waiting for the next ones, he went into a small break room. There weren’t many chairs. Someone from the team wanted to stand up to give him their seat. He refused. He preferred that they stay seated and he preferred to stay standing. Honestly, in that room, there weren’t many people; it wasn’t to look good, he was just more natural. Honestly, he was super respectful with the whole team,” she recalled.

The second memorable moment was how hard V tried to communicate with the French extras on set. The interpreter remembered: “Some of them are scenes where he’s dancing with several extras. On set, we do the same scene several times. Since there were multiple takes, he wanted to encourage the team.”

She continued with more details: “At one point, he asked me how to say ‘힘내요’ (hang in there/hwaiting!) in French. I answered ‘bon courage.’ He tried repeating it, but he said it’s a bit hard to pronounce. So I suggested ‘super.’ After that, he was saying ‘super’ to the team and the extras, everyone was laughing, the vibe was really great. Then he asked me how to say ‘추워’ (cold) in French, because the filming location had no heating. It was November, and since he was filming, he was dressed a bit lighter. So I taught him ‘j’ai froid.’ He kept repeating ‘j’ai froid, j’ai froid, j’ai froid.’”

V’s attitude and words were not merely polite gestures, but rather a series of natural actions that came from who he truly is. In other words, humility and respect for the people around him are deeply rooted in his character—and anyone can immediately see these admirable qualities.
