V Reveals Why He Returned To BTS’s Old Social Media Platform After Years Of Absence

On the 27th, V υиєχρє¢тє∂ly hosted a short live broadcast to meet with fans. These kinds of chats seem to have become a habit he’s maintained recently since Christmas began. Sometimes, even in the early hours of the morning, just after returning home from outside, he would turn on Weverse Live to share stories, and other times, before going to bed, he would stop by to say a few small, interesting things to fans.

Today, during a few minutes of conversation, most of the time was just voice, but there was a memorable moment when he turned on the camera and shared about his growing beard, exclaiming, “You know how I really liked my beard. I think all ARMYs know that. But what kind of disappointed me and made me a bit sad, what honestly gave me a little self doubt, was the length of my beard—it was so different from what I had imagined in my head.”

These spontaneous live broadcasts warm fans’ hearts at the end of the year, leaving them deeply moved by V’s sincerity and closeness!

Notably, in the next segment of the voice-only conversation, V continued to win fans over with sweet reflections on visiting the old BTS official Fancafe account he hadn’t used in a long time. He mentioned, “So I went to our old BTS official café, you know? Like, way back, the really old one. And there were ARMYs saying things like, ‘I liked you when I was 12,’ or ‘I was in elementary school back then, and now I’m 24,’ or ‘I used to like you in elementary school and now I’m working.’”

At this point, nostalgia surged through him, and he reflected, “Hearing that felt soooo fascinating to me. I was like, wow… we’ve really done so many things, and so much time has actually pαѕѕed. Talking with ARMYs about their old ARMY days, and about our HYYH era and that old-time vibe, the memories and emotions from back then… We were both kind of pretending to be our past selves, like I was the ‘me’ from that time and ARMY was the ‘ARMY’ from that time, chatting together. It was just… really cute. I loved it so much.”

V brought up this story because, previously, on the 24th, he had visited the long-unused Fancafe account and left a message: “ARMY. Merry Christmas. How is everyone?” Immediately, a fan responded, surprising V since Fancafe hasn’t been widely used in recent years. Excited, he exclaimed, “Wow, you're watching this!” The fan replied, “I'm seeing this keke, the notification rings you know.” V responded sincerely, “Oh, what are you doing now? This place is really nostalgic, right?”

He then also had a conversation with other fans. When he asked: "30s? Isn’t there?People say it’s cold, so it might be better to wear several layers rather than just one", the other fan commented below: "If you were looking for someone in their 30s… I’ve arrived". He's so excited, replied: "I’m here to prevent this world from collapsing". Many "old" ARMYs came then and left comments like: "An ARMY who became a fan in my thirties and is now in my forties", "What does time even mean? I may have gotten older, but my heart has grown richer with these ten years. Thanks to BTS, I’ve lived happily and feeling young, and I’ll keep living that way from now on too", "Taehyung-nim~ there are ARMY aunties in their 50s too",...

V’s reflections struck a chord with fans, moving them deeply. Fancafe was one of the very first social media platforms BTS used to connect directly with fans, sharing photos, messages, and emotions. Later, the group became more active on Twitter, Instagram, and Weverse, but Fancafe still holds countless precious memories—it was the starting point of BTS and ARMY’s shared history, cherished by fans. Unbeknownst to many, V feels the same way.

Some ARMYs also noted that during BTS’s military service, even though the members couldn’t be active on social media, they would occasionally visit Fancafe—including V—likely to read heartfelt messages of support from loyal fans.

Moved by this wave of nostalgia, fans left emotional comments:

- It feels like going back to the HYYH days. V still has the same spirit he had back in his debut

- Just a few words, and I suddenly realize how fast time has pαѕѕed, with all those old memories flooding back

- BTS is our comfort zone. I was 13 back then, now I’m 22, that’s just how it is.

- He could have said "Debut" era but no, brother said "HYYH" era, which means only ONE thing. HYYH F*CKING RETURNS. YOUTH IS F*CKING COMING BACK MTFSSS

- I wish I were an Army way back then. But I am genuinely happy for you Baby Bear. You happiness is my happiness too. *tighthug*

- Time flies so fast but nothing changes between you and me. Waiting for BTS in 2026

- I'm glad he had such a rare opportunity to reminisce with Army who've been with BTS since the beginning. It must have been such a surreal and cpmforting experience for all

- I’m very happy to have ARMYs your age, my age, and of various ages, who connect with BTS and their music through the same qualities of love and peace
