These days, ARMYs are experiencing rage since HYBE's internal documents were released. In particular, a part of the document targeted V with negative content. Even though HYBE apologized, ARMYs still couldn't calm down.

It was only recently that some news about V from the military was shared that fans felt healed. A touching letter that V wrote to his discharged comrades was widely shared on SNS.

Through the letter, fans felt happy that he is having a good time in the barracks:

Instead of choosing to join other basic forces, V joined the Special Duty Team under the Blue House at the end of last year. So far, he has been performing his military service for nearly a year and fans are very curious about his military life.

There has been very little news about V since his enlistment due to the nature of his work. But sometimes fans can see him through photos from the unit or revealed by V himself. Most recently, fans got to read for the first time a touching letter that the BTS superstar wrote to his barrack mate when he was discharged from the army, sharing about his life in the barracks.

Specifically, V's barrack mates shared a few lines of memories when living and working with a Kpop superstar during his enlistment first. In response to his the letter, V also sent his barrack mate the following message:

"I was so happy to be able to serve in the military with you, and working out with you was so much fun. Even though I was worried that there might be a wall between us because of the age difference, we broke down that wall, and you, Seungmin, and I were able to hang out like friends. I still haven’t forgotten, and it leaves a deep impression, you know.

It’s a shame that we couldn’t be in the same platoon, Sunghyun. But as your friend and as your older brother, I truly congratulate you on your discharge. I hope you become an amazing bodybuilder and succeed in society. Even if you don’t succeed, don’t forget our memories together.

Let’s keep in touch and keep working out together. Come visit often, and I’ll make sure to keep up that unique vibe you guys created and keep things fun.

V also shared this letter on his Instagram and ARMYs found it so adorable. Fans can't help but exclaim over their wonderful camaraderie and are even happier that he is having a memorable military service. Meanwhile, V is expected to be discharged from the military on June 10, 2025. Previously, the first two BTS members to enlist, Jin and j-hope, returned to the arms of fans. Jin has returned to musical activities in the Kpop world while j-hope is taking time off and returning to the music race!
