When contemplating this feeling, V once expressed his fear but then, looking back at the past and present times, he seemed to have a more stable flow of emotions. He shared his views on this in a recent interview:
Well, there was once a comment that out of all relationships, the idol-fan relationship is the most magical. It is a distant yet intimate relationship that is romantic and powerful for reason and emotion.
But perhaps the bond between fans and idols is both the strongest and the most fragile. It doesn't have much direct connection between family members or two lovers. Therefore, facing events such as misunderstandings, scandals or simply separation during the m̴i̴l̴i̴t̴a̴r̴y̴ period can also cause this relationship to crack.
Even a large fandom like ARMY with millions of fans around the world, every day there are fans who come and leave. BTS members all understand this natural law and of course, they cannot help but respect their fans' decisions and cherish the moment with them in the present.
However, for V, the fear of fans leaving him after a long period of separation is truly haunting. Specifically, in an interview with Vogue кσяєα not long ago, V and the interviewer went deep into this topic as well as the relationship between fans and idols. When the interviewer asked V: "You mentioned somewhere that you were afraid and unsure that the fans would not love you any more if you stayed out of their sight for long. Do you still have that fear?", V began to share his inner thoughts.
He pointed out an example that when the pandemic period pa̾s̾sed and he was able to interact directly with fans in many concerts and actual events, V felt more secure and seemed no longer afraid of they will leave him after not seeing him for a long time. But most of all, at a time when V still had time to be with ARMYs, he did everything he could to promote "Layover". From producing, releasing albums, performing on stages to participating in reality shows, conducting interviews...V hardly rests because he wants to make ARMYs happy. V concluded: “I try my best to show the most of myself whenever I get a chance to meet our fans”.
Maybe, in the next 18 months, the separation will make many fans' feelings for him fade away but the memories he created before will definitely be soмєтнing that fans can't bear. leave him.
