BTS are currently on their journey to meet fans around the world through the large-scale “BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’.” While each stop has been a happy and memorable experience for both BTS and ARMYs as they reunite after four years of group hiatus, there are still frustrating issues caused by a certain group of inconsiderate fans. One of the most prominent concerns is the invasion of the idols’ privacy.
Back in July, RM opened up about one of the biggest challenges of touring as a member of BTS, saying, “On tour, sometimes you just can’t go out because there are a lot of fans and it’s really hard to be on your own.” At one point, V became so frustrated that he took to Weverse to directly ask sasaeng fans to stop coming to the hotel where he was staying and harαѕѕing them outside, making it difficult for BTS to get any rest.
Although such behavior has repeatedly been condemned by both fans and the members themselves, these toxic individuals seemingly still refuse to stop. Recently, V and Jungkook even shared an incident in which some people followed them to the gym at 2 AM, leaving fans furious!
Specifically, during their post-Baltimore concert livestream, V υиєχρє¢тє∂ly brought up the situation while talking about the possibility of the two of them going to work out: “If we say that we’re gonna go workout now… we have only one place we go to workout, you know… I wonder how many would show up.” Jungkook followed up by saying, “It’s okay, we’ll just work out together. Don’t come! We also want to work out quietly…” However, he then seemed to convince himself that those people probably would not actually show up, muttering, “No, I don’t think they’ll come.”
Meanwhile, V had a pretty clear message for anyone who was thinking about showing up: “Come only if you’re really gonna work out.” In other words, there is nothing wrong with going to the same gym if they genuinely want to work out, but their intention should not be to follow or approach BTS.
The reason the two members reacted so seriously was because just the day before, when they decided to go to the gym at 2 AM in hopes of having some private time, there were as many as 20 people there, who ended up staring at them instead of working out. V was genuinely baffled: “We worked out at 2AM!!! and there were 20 people! Does that make sense to you????” Jungkook also emphasized that they had been on tour for a long time and had regularly gone to the gym, yet they had never had a single person show up that early before.
The two members also recounted a specific incident in detail. Jungkook said there were two people who genuinely came to work out, and V even commented that they were really good at working out. However, the problem began when they kept staring at the two idols. V bluntly pointed out that people should not come to a gym and keep staring at someone.
Not only that, these individuals eventually tried to strike up a conversation with the two members. V and Jungkook made a clear distinction between simply being at the same gym and trying to approach them. V said he did not mind if fans only came to work out, since being motivated to exercise because of their idols could be seen as BTS having a “good influence.” Jungkook agreed: “That’s true, just for your workout.” But as soon as the conversation turned to approaching them, the BTS maknae immediately objected: “But you strike a conversation? Nopee, you can’t do that! It’s our private lives!”
As the video of V and Jungkook sharing the story spread online, ARMYs were stunned that these people still would not leave them alone despite all the reminders they had received. In the comments, discussions about idols’ privacy once again became heated:
