Unprofessionalism Is Fun? ARMYs Demand Guinness World Records Apologize To Jungkook

Over the years, ARMY has been completely happy to see BTS achieve many Guinness World Records. That is completely worth the talent, effort, efforts of the members as well as the great support of the fans in the back.

Recently, however, ARMYs have been extremely disappointed as well as feeling disrespected from the Guinness World Records organization itself. Even more serious, fans are now calling on this organization to apologize to Jungkook and take responsibility for his unprofessional actions.

Here is the situation that is happening and the outrage has not stopped:

BTS holds multiple Guinness World Records titles as both a group and as an individual. They have appeared in the Guinness World Records 2022 as part of the "Hall of Fame" for their many incredible achievements in music, holding more than 23 titles in the famous world record books.

BTS members continue to extend these achievements with their dedication to music. However, the recent Guinness World Records has become a bad image for ARMYs following their unprofessional and disrespectful actions towards Jungkook.

Specifically, a Jungkook fan account shared in a now-deleted post that the Guinness World Record for “Most Streamed Track on Spotify in a single week (male)” was broken by Jungkook with his solo single “Seven (feat. Latto).” The official X (formerly known as Twitter) account for Guinness World Records replied, “source plz?”

So, ARMYs, including the OP (Original Poster), provided the requested sources. According to Guinness World Records’ website, Harry Styles still held the record, but ARMYs pointed to other sources that indicated Jungkook had recently broken Styles’ record.

Although ARMY has given specific and accurate sources, despite the above arguments, the denial of the Guinness World Record has caused both fans and Jungkook to be hated. Critics claim that ARMYs fantasized about the achievement and that Seven doesn't count as a solo because it's αѕѕociated with Latto.

However, today, Guinness World Records shared an article announcing that both BTS members Jimin and Jungkook achieved two new Guinness World Records each. So, Jungkook now holds the achievements of “most streamed track on Spotify in one week (male) with 89,748,171 streams million streams” and “fastest time for a music track to reach 100 million streams on Spotify (male).”

ARMYs celebrated Jungkook's new achievement, sharing records. They push up the trend of “CONGRATULATIONS JUNGKOOK” and “HISTORY MAKER JUNGKOOK” to cheer for it.

But ARMYs can't forget what happened just a few days ago when Guinness World Records previously denied these achievements in order to expose ARMYs to much criticism. So one fan couldn't hold back her anger and responded to Guinness World Records’ post about Jungkook and Jimin’s records, cheekily commenting, “source?” The social media manager for Guinness World Records laughed, “finally found one lol.”

A minute afterward, the Guinness World Records social media manager replied to its post too, commenting, “luckily we found a source". An ARMY, then, commented in response to that. They told the social media manager, “you’re so embarrαѕѕing,” to which they replied, “it’s all good fun.”

ARMYs were flabbergasted by Guinness World Records continuing to post such comments even after it was proven that Jungkook had earned his new records. So, the fandom called out Guinness World Records for unprofessionalism and provoking others to hate on an artist. ARMYs then trended “KOOKARMA STRIKES AGAIN” and “GUINNESS APOLOGIZE TO JUNGKOOK,” demanding an apology:

- I never thought I would hate Guinness world record. Dragging someone in a mess is never fun its unprofessional. Getting a whole community to hate on one artist because of unprofessionalism is fun? GUINNESS APOLOGIZE TO JUNGKOOK

- GUINNESS APOLOGIZE TO JUNGKOOK for your unprofessionalism KOOKARMA STRIKES AGAIN

- They were ignorant of Jungkook's achievement when Sara posted about it the instant he surpαѕѕed Harry's record, today when they were asked they said it's funny to do so, coz of them many did drag jk for no reason coz gwr asked for source when they should be the source b4 anyone

- The way the admin of this account got the nerve to use "lol" now when in fact their lack of professionalism previously caused thousands of яα¢ιѕт abuse and harαѕѕment towards an Asian artist for a rightful record that he broke, is disgusting!

- because of your unprofessional behaviour jungkook got dragged by everyone!! now you are trying to be funny IDIOT

- And now is drag by you. Nice work. GUINNESS APOLOGIZE TO JUNGKOOK

- brought unnecessary hate to him despite the record actually being broken, got all the ̾f̾r̾e̾a̾ks whose faves will never touch or can't even dream about seven's numbers dragging him unprovoked and the tweet is still not deleted.... @GWR you're going to h3ll

However, until now, Guinness World Records has not responded to such posts.
