On September 1 local time, BTS will take the stage at SoFi Stadium to kick off a total of four concerts on September 1–2 and 5–6 (local time), reuniting with local fans after around 4 years and 9 months since the ‘BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LA’ concerts held in November–December 2021.
Los Angeles is one of the cities that shares a particularly deep connection with the group. In the past, BTS has visited LA multiple times to attend major U.S. music events such as the Grammys and αмєяι¢αn Music Awards, while also holding numerous large-scale concerts there. For this reason, the city of LA even designated the period from September 1 to 8 surrounding the group’s concerts as “BTS Week,” kicking it off with LA City Hall being lit up in red, representing the ARIRANG album, on the first concert day.
Not only that, the first concert also holds special meaning for BTS and ARMY as it falls on Jungkook’s 29th birthday this year. Notably, despite being busy with their performance schedule, the BTS members did not forget to prepare special surprises for their maknae, including a birthday cake with an υиєχρє¢тє∂ decorating style that left fans delighted.
In a behind-the-scenes video filmed as BTS prepared to head onto the stage for soundcheck, j-hope α¢¢ι∂єитally gave ARMY a glimpse of the wнιтe cake prepared especially for the star of the day. Fans then went wild discussing the cake’s unique and incredibly trendy appearance: the entire cake was decorated with sparkling colorful gemstones.
Clearly, BTS is very up-to-date with the recent trend known as “Bedazzling Everything,” which can roughly be understood as “putting rhinestones on everything.” The trend, which has been gaining popularity around the world, took off after Kylie Jenner shared photos from her 29th birthday party in August 2026, prominently featuring an elaborate cake completely covered in colorful crystal gems.
When they saw that Jungkook’s birthday cake also embraced this sparkling style, fans could not help but agree that his over-30 hyungs can be pretty “xì teen” too, and that the playful style was a perfect match for his energy. Meanwhile, the cake was only one part of the surprises BTS and ARMY prepared for the Golden Maknae on this special night. On stage, the members continuously found ways to turn the concert into a huge birthday party dedicated entirely to Jungkook.
During the performance of “MIC Drop,” when it came to Namjoon’s familiar rap line — where the leader often switches things up with viral quotes — he suddenly changed the lyrics to: “Haters gon’ hate, players gon’ play, JK happy birthday.” The rap line made everyone at the venue burst out laughing, with the au∂ιєnce enthusiastically applauding and Jungkook unable to hide his amusement and happiness.
After that, the stadium’s giant screen displayed “Happy Birthday Jungkook,” while tens of thousands of ARMYs simultaneously turned on their flashlights decorated with golden stickers, creating a golden light effect. The scene looked as if the entire stadium had been lit up by tens of thousands of candles for the maknae’s birthday.

At the end of the concert, ARMYs once again turned on their flashlights together during the ending ment, leaving Jungkook completely surprised.
