And there are dozens of regulations about eating, exercising or behavior... that are also regulated depending on different management companies.

Similar to other large entertainment companies, Big Music or HYBE also has regulations for their trainees and artists in addition to the general regulations of the entertainment industry. And of course, all interns and artists in the company must follow these regulations. BTS is no exception!

From the time BTS were trainees until they first debuted, the members had to follow these rules very strictly. But it seems that when BTS is mature enough, they also have the opportunity to overcome HYBE's limits in self-control and ensure that there are no serious consequences. So, there are funny stories about how in recent years, BTS has broken many HYBE rules but the company has not been able to fine them.

The first example is many people in the industry point that HYBE as a leading company in strictly controlling the visuals of artists. Most artists are not allowed to change their appearance without their management company's permission.

This is created because they always build a stable image for their idols to ensure that they fit the concept for related activities. However, Jin and Jungkook were once famous for creating their own hairstyles that no one could stop.

Jin cut and dyed his hair without the company's consent during the performance because he felt his hair was too long or wanted to create a new highlight. Even though he ruined them and hairstylist HYBE ended up having to save the hair, it's truly a legendary story.

Following Jin, Jungkook also suddenly dyed half of his head pink during a group tour. This caused HYBE's stylist to panic and proceed to repair the next case of damaged hair. Luckily, it turned out to be an artistic masterpiece that made fans fascinated.

Really, no HYBE artist has the courage to do this except K-Pop superstars - Jin and Jungkook. But in the end, both Jin and Jungkook were praised for their breakthrough and HYBE obviously cannot count theses situations as violations or mistakes.

A second example is that HYBE rarely allows its artists to participate in TV shows of third parties that are not HYBE partners or they do not have control over the content. When BTS first debuted and for a long time after, the members also complied with this because it was more comfortable to have their own show.

But recently, BTS has also freely participated in their favorite shows and chosen the content they want to do. Jin participated in My Alcohol Diary or Running Man while j-hope participated in talk shows with IU and V participated in reality shows Jinny's Kitchen, Running Man, You Quiz on Block...

However, this was discussed between the members and the company and there was a satisfactory arrangement. Furthermore, at this time, it will be difficult for any program to treat Kpop superstars "unfairly"!

Third, an important rule of HYBE is that idols cannot go online when drunk. However, this rule was broken by j-hope, V and Jungkook when they once posted photos after drinking alcohol. In particular, V and Jungkook once caused a stir, making ARMY laugh with their humorous scenes on social networks after being drunk.

Furthermore, HYBE is also said to have a policy of not drinking alcohol when the members stream live, but since Jungkook did a live broadcast on Weverse Live, he has made fans excited many times by drinking wine and beer while talking to them. SUGA also did this a few times despite knowing that the staff had to work at full capacity for fear of him saying the wrong thing. But in reality, BTS members all know how to control themselves so as not to encounter unfortunate situations like some other K-pop artists. Therefore, there is no reason for HYBE to punish them!

Fourth, HYBE also does not allow its artists to conduct live broadcasts without staff supervision. All live broadcasts of artists, including BTS, whether conducted at home or at company headquarters, are monitored by staff to prevent unwanted situations.

However, there have been many times when BTS members did it on their own without the company's prior consent. V and Jungkook are two members who often surprise HYBE staff and fans. While Jungkook was afraid of being reprimanded for broadcasting live without prior notice, it seems he didn't pay too much attention to this rule after that because he simply knew the limits of what to say. 

Last but not least, another rule that all BTS members violate is not to take pictures with fans, sign autographs, or accept gifts from them. However, in some special and safe cases, members also try to do things for ARMY such as giving autographs or shaking hands. On the contrary, ARMY needs to respect, keep their distance, and ensure the safety of BTS.

Overall, BTS has been active long enough and they can control what they are doing. So it's not a bad thing for BTS to occasionally break some of HYBE's rules. They know how to expand regulations within the allowable scope!
