As fans know, BTS was previously nominated for Pop Duo/Group Performance at the GRAMMY Awards for 3 consecutive years with the songs Dynamite in 2021, Butter in 2022 and My Universe in 2023. However, the results of all 3 years were the same when BTS not only did not win any awards for these 3 nominations but also had nothing in other categories.

Although for fans the group is already the top Kpop group at the moment, it is clear that for BTS members, the GRAMMY award is still an achievement they aim for. While the other two awards emphasize fame and popularity, the Grammy Awards focus on musicality and are said to be a measure of the success of artists.

Specifically, in the latest episode of BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star, they replayed the moment when BTS members learned that they were nominated for a GRAMMY Award for the first time. They were so happy and even V immediately expressed his excitement. BTS recalled: "I checked out BTS group chat immediately after I woke up...I saw that Taehyung had sent a message. He said soмєтнing like, "Are grammy nominees allowed in this chat?"".  

But all this joy suddenly disappeared when the moment the GRAMMY Awards took place. For the first time, they felt failure at this great prize. As soon as they heard the news that they did not receive the award, even though they tried to smile, fans felt the disappointment of the members. They even joked with each other about how they prepared this set to announce BTS Bonvoyage as a way to cover up this uncomfortable moment.

Jimin even tried to make a joke afterwards to make the atmosphere happier. He pretended: "Hello? Yes, two bottles of soju to our hotel room. Yes quickly, Hurry, my mind needs a break". But that couldn't hide their true feelings because ARMYs also felt the same regret for what the members had tried so hard for.
