The “Protest“ at BTS’s Day 2 Concert in Lima Gets ARMY’s Support

When people hear the word “protest,” they often immediately think of crowds taking to the streets, holding banners, and chanting slogans to demand change. In fact, while BTS have been holding concerts in Lima these past few days, the city has also seen a protest involving students from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP).

The demonstration stemmed from disciplinary measures following the occupation of the rector’s building in May. As authorities attempted to disperse the crowd, clashes broke out between ρσℓι¢є and protesters. One ρσℓι¢є officer was reportedly seen drawing a gun to threaten the crowd.

However, not every protest takes place in a tense atmosphere. Peru ARMYs recently staged their own protest, but this time, it was peaceful, orderly, and even deeply moving!

Several videos circulating on social media show that before BTS’s Day 2 concert began, around 50,000 fans at Estadio San Marcos chanted “NO VAYAN AL HOTEL” (Don’t go to the hotel), “PERDÓN BTS” (Sorry, BTS), and “ARMY NO ACOSA” (ARMY does not harαѕѕ). It was not a fierce confrontation, but the collective chanting of concertgoers carried a powerful message, all for one purpose: to protect BTS’s privacy.

Since arriving in Lima, BTS have faced incidents of being followed, filmed, and having their accommodation location exposed. Crowds subsequently continued to gather outside the hotel, making noise, obstructing the group’s vehicles, and even shining lasers and flying drones toward windows believed to belong to the members’ rooms, despite RM’s plea on Weverse.

Meanwhile, during his closing speech at the concert, RM once again addressed the harαѕѕment outside the hotel, prompting Peru ARMYs to chant “Sorry” in unison to apologize to BTS once again.

At that moment, RM carefully chose his words to reαѕѕure fans that this issue was not exclusive to Peru or Latin αмєяι¢α. He also emphasized that he understood there were many considerate and lovely ARMYs who always respected the members. The idol repeatedly expressed his gratitude and affection for genuine fans and the country of Peru.

The special fanchant at BTS’s Day 2 concert in Peru was not the only effort made by local ARMYs to protect the group’s privacy. From the moment they discovered crowds gathering around the hotel where BTS were staying, the Peru fan club condemned the behavior, urged fans to keep their distance, and called on people to report disruptive incidents. They also pressured local authorities to strengthen security around BTS’s accommodation. Some fans even contributed money to rent a water tanker to spray water on those gathering outside the hotel in an attempt to disperse the crowds.

However, the troublemakers remained stubborn. In response to Peru ARMYs’ actions today, international ARMYs expressed their sympathy and support, while also lamenting that the experiences both Peru ARMYs and BTS had been looking forward to were being ruined by inconsiderate crowds:

- Poor things, besides living in a s3xist country that mocks them, they also have to deal with this. Strength to Peruvian ARMYs!

- It's so frustrating because those harαѕѕers/stalkers literally don't care at all. Real ARMYs would never want to harαѕѕ or bother BTS

- It’s нєαятвяєαкιиg to see all the efforts of Peru ARMY go to waste because of the undisciplined behavior of some locals, especially when their actions end up putting ARMY’s name in a bad light

- Peru ARMYs are getting it from all sides—haters, stalkers, and total crazies

- I feel so bad for the peruvian ARMYs fr. I don't consider any of those stalkers outside the hotel ARMYs

- This is so sad I love the real peru army they literally did everything they can it was all messed up

- Oh Peru real armys I feel sad what you need to face. You prepared so much. It must be hard where you can't freely support and show your love cause haters are яα¢ιѕт and s3xist

- I'm feeling so bad for them, I mean they are doing many projects and everything that's welcoming BTS but those stalkers and other are doing ∂ιяту

- The way theyre chanting it like a warning not a request is so poetic honestly. armys really said we love you but do NOT follow us to the hotel. thats the most protective fanbase behavior ive ever seen

- Genuinely feeling bad for these Armys who trying to protect the boys  and still fail to do so.. I just hope those people understand atleast from now.. after this and what Namjoon said tonight..
