Culture magazine IZE called Jimin as "the idol of idols". Many idols like Woo Young (ATEEZ), Huening Kai and Beom Gyu (TXT), Jay and Park Sung Hoon (ENHYPHEN), Kim Si-hoon (BDC), Woo Cheol (New Kid), Hyun-jin (Stray Kids), Sejun (Victon) once openly shared about Jimin as their role model.
But few people know that 10 years ago, there was Jimin who was almost kicked out of Big Hit Music's project - BTS. Luckily, a powerful woman saw his potential and convinced him to stay. Thanks to this woman, the public can now see a fully blossomed idol.

Before becoming the world's top superstars today, BTS also had to go through the same hard training process as all other trainees. They even have to go through all the tests and challenges that Big Hit Music offers to get into the project's main lineup. It also includes facing the risk of not being able to debut and being eliminated at any time.
Jimin was the final piece that made up BTS right before Big Hit Music finalized the official lineup of 7 members in 2013. This came from the fact that Jimin was on the risk list of being eliminated 8 times during his internship period. There were even some people at Big Hit Music at that time who strongly opposed him joining BTS.
Jimin once said in an interview: "I was a trainee for a short time, but i almost got kicked out about 8 times. There were so many people who opposed me debuting with the group (I can't say their names)". He also revealed that he himself came from a contemporary dance background, so many people thought it would be difficult for him to change to fit the image of an idol.
But while many people are skeptical about Jimin's abilities and qualifications, there is one woman who always believes in this trainee. She was also the one who kept him when he was on the list of trainees eliminated from the project and found every way for Jimin to debut with BTS.
She is none other than Mrs Shin Seon Jeong, the head of T&D at HYBE! T&D stands for Training & Develop so she and her team are responsible for developing HYBE (вιg нιт Entertainment before) trainees to become artists. In 2022, she had been named among Billboard's "40 Under 40," a list of young leaders trailblazing the music industry. Shin was recognized for her contribution to establishing HYBE's artists training system.
In the video HYBE T&D Stories | Part 05 We are T&D, RM revealed about this powerful woman, lavishing praise on her as a guardian angel because she kept trainee Jimin. He said gratefully: "She is one of the two guardian angels who kept Jimin in the group at the time. In a way, getting Jimin to stay was basically protecting BTS And your decision was right Without Jimin it would've been a disaster".
Meanwhile, fans also remember that in the thank you note of the album 2cool4skool when Jimin first debuted, he thanked a noona named Seon Jeong - the person who made him look so cool. Obviously, without the trust of the most powerful woman in the trainees at that time, Jimin and BTS would not be as perfect as they are now. If that day she hadn't been opinionated and fierce enough to keep Jimin in BTS's lineup, the name BTS wouldn't even exist.
