These accounts specialize in providing lightning-fast updates about idols — including schedules, new photos, events, SNS posts, concerts, advertisements, and more — or translating and compiling information from various sources.

These accounts practically operate like the fandom’s own “reporters,” often even faster than mainstream media when it comes to breaking news.

Although they are independently run by fans, they play a crucial role for both the fandom and the idols themselves. For fandoms, they serve as “guides” or “key coordinators” of information and public sentiment, while for idols, they are powerful promotional tools on social media.

BTS and ARMY are no exception! Especially since BTS’s debut, major fan accounts have become a significant force behind the group’s media presence. One of the most well-known and trusted fan accounts that every long-time fan surely recognizes is the Instagram account @taetaeboo.

This fan account has been active in the fandom since 2018 and now has over 1.1 million followers. She is famous for consistently posting updates at incredible speed — if not instantly — about all BTS members. Thanks to her, other fans always have access to the latest updates and never miss important news.

@taetaeboo has been with ARMYs for many years and has become an important part of the fandom’s frontline. However, a few days ago, the account suddenly disappeared from Instagram, showing the message “User not found,” leaving fans stunned. ARMYs began buzzing with questions, wondering what might have happened.

Later, the account owner used a Twitter account to explain her situation. She shared that her Instagram account had been suspended because one of the videos she uploaded was reported for copyright infringement by a third party.

She explained that she had shared the video solely for the purpose of translating its content into English for fans to understand, without realizing there was a copyright issue. It wasn’t until the account was taken down and she received a notification from Instagram that she became aware of the problem.

@taetaeboo is currently working with Instagram to resolve the issue in hopes of recovering her account, though it seems there isn’t much hope. Some fans have suggested launching a petition or campaign within the fandom to appeal to Instagram on her behalf.

Meanwhile, many ARMYs expressed their sympathy over the suspension of such a well-trusted and familiar fan account like @taetaeboo. They also pointed out the unfairness of the platform’s decision against an account that had no commercial intent. Fans hope she can return soon:

@meta A major BTS fanpage, @taetaebooo, has been wrongly suspended. It's a safe fan account that has never violated guidelines. Please review and restore the account.
