The Mess Left Behind After BTS’s Brazil Concert D1 Leaves ARMY Disappointed by the Lack of Consideration Shown by Many Fans

After seven years of waiting, BTS finally returned to вяαzιℓ with the ARIRANG World Tour, delivering an emotional opening show at MorumBIS Stadium in São Paulo on October 28, 2026. With around 81,000 fans in attendance, the electric atmosphere and ARMY’s powerful sing-alongs left the members amazed. Years of anticipation had made the concert a memorable milestone for both BTS and their вяαzιℓian fans.

However, alongside the beautiful moments onstage, the concert in вяαzιℓ also exposed several shortcomings, including the behavior of a section of the fanbase, which has left many ARMY deeply disappointed.

After the first show ended, numerous fan accounts shared videos showing the stadium in a “disastrous” state. One that stood out was posted by fan account @korekims2 (Cari⁷). The approximately 8.5-second clip showed red stadium seats covered with plastic bags, bottle caps and bottles, food packaging, and discarded single-use plastic ponchos. The floor near the stage was also littered with wнιтe plastic scraps, while cleaning staff worked to collect the яυввιѕн.

The person who posted the video expressed frustration over the condition in which the stadium had been left after the concert, writing: “I recorded how DISGUSTING the stadium was left, what is wrong with you guys, let's do better than that.”

Given that São Paulo experienced unstable weather and rain on October 28, many fans understandably brought or wore disposable ponchos. With around 81,000 people attending in a single night, some waste may have been inevitable. Still, fans were ѕнσ¢кed by the apparent lack of consideration shown by some attendees. The яυввιѕн was not limited to rain ponchos; food and drink packaging, along with other items, including free fan banners, were also left behind.

Before the stadium opened, some fans had already reported that banners prepared for a special project organized by the B-ARMY360 community had been thrown on the ground, trampled on, and dirtied. The banners were funded through fan donations and distributed for free thanks to the hard work of volunteers. Seeing these heartfelt gifts carelessly discarded left many fans disappointed and raised concerns about environmental cleanliness.

Notably, ARMY in вяαzιℓ had previously been praised in 2019 for proactively distributing trash bags and cleaning up after a concert. This time, reports of яυввιѕн both inside and outside the stadium, as well as on streets and at subway stations, left many people stunned and deeply disappointed by what they saw as a decline in fans’ sense of responsibility.

Some fans argued that they had to leave quickly at night for security reasons and therefore did not have time to dispose of their яυввιѕн properly, while others pointed to a lack of trash bins around the stadium. Many, however, maintained that such behavior was unacceptable and damaged the image of a fandom widely regarded as considerate and responsible.

Beyond the littering, pushing and queue-cutting also sparked controversy. вяαzιℓian fanbase @BTSChartBR reported crowding and people cutting in line early in the day, putting those who had arrived well in advance at a disadvantage. Meanwhile, @stealmyjisung said the queue at the external checkpoint had already become disorderly at around 7:40 a.m., with some latecomers allegedly pushing ahead and climbing over barriers in an attempt to secure better spots inside the venue.

In response to these incidents, ARMY expressed their anger and disappointment toward fans who showed little consideration for others:

- Kindness and consideration goes a long way I hope Day 2 the au∂ιєnces will think of workers cleaning after them

- Everything was so disgusting, the front of the floor line was a total pigsty where the people who arrived earliest were waiting. I had never seen anything like that at any concert before.

- This shows such a complete lack of respect and common sense that I can't even say anything without being offensive

- I don't want to be one of those 'oh, but back in the day...' types, but guys, I have NEVER seen so many rude people in one place, honestly never. It was a complete nightmare, both on Live Nation's part and from the people who were there

- I can only remember 2019 with ARMYs staying extra long at the stadium to help with the cleanup. Honestly, this fandom used to be so much better

- How can you claim to love BTS but leave the place like this? Please remember that your actions reflect on the fandom too

- Seeing those fan-made banners thrown on the ground hurts even more. So many people put their time, effort, and money into making them special for BTS and ARMY

- We were proud of how вяαzιℓian ARMY cleaned up after BTS's concert in 2019. It's sad to see such a different scene this time. We can do better than this
