As fans know, the BTS members moved out of the group’s shared dormitory around 2020 and began their individual lives in luxury apartments. Meanwhile, the refrigerator is an indispensable household appliance, and this applies even to the penthouses of K-pop superstars. Even with schedules so busy that they barely have time to cook, the members still need refrigerators to store some of their favorite food and drinks.
Typically, a person’s refrigerator reflects their eating habits quite accurately, which is why fans are naturally curious about what top K-pop stars keep inside theirs. Fortunately, the BTS members have not kept their refrigerators a secret; on the contrary, they have generously shown them off to fans in self-filmed clips or even featured them on variety shows.
Through these glimpses, fans have noticed both commonalities and interesting differences in the refrigerators of these global superstars!
The member whose refrigerator left fans most αωєstruck is the Golden Maknae, Jungkook. Notably, his refrigerator doesn’t store ordinary food; it resembles a cold cellar stocked with alcoholic beverages. In a broadcast before his military enlistment, Jungkook showed fans a fridge packed full of liquor and drinks.

Among the alcoholic beverages and soft drinks, fans also noticed a single can of Sprite on the top shelf. This lone can reminded fans of j-hope, as Sprite is his favorite drink. Some speculated that j-hope may have visited Jungkook’s place, or that the can was kept as a kind of memento from his hyung.
Jungkook explained the dominance of drinks in his fridge: "I was going to drink a bunch before I go into the m̷i̷l̷i̷t̷a̷r̷y̷ so I bought a lot, but I didn't so there's a lot in the fridge right now." At that time, fans also noticed that Jungkook had cleared out the food from his fridge in preparation for enlistment. Alcohol and beverages have long shelf lives, but food certainly cannot be preserved for over a year.
Now that Jungkook has completed his military service, fans αѕѕume that his fridge has been restocked with food. Nevertheless, given his strong love for alcohol and drinks, fans believe that at least half of the fridge still contains those bottles.
Similarly, fans have seen a “drink-focused” refrigerator at RM’s home in a 2024 documentary. Most of the items in his fridge are alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, milk, coffee, or fruit juices. One difference is that he seems to enjoy yogurt and pastries, and he also keeps kimchi and traditional side dishes for meals at home.
For someone who is not sкιℓℓed in cooking like RM, it is unsurprising that there aren’t many cooking ingre∂ιєnts in his fridge. Fans also suspect that some of the side dishes, or banchan, are provided by his parents. They are amused to see that RM enjoys alcoholic beverages just like many young people in their 20s and 30s.
Meanwhile, the two members whose refrigerators are the most abundant and diverse in terms of food are likely Jin and j-hope. Both of these superstars have featured their refrigerators on the popular variety show Please Take Care of My Refrigerator. A common feature of their fridges is the inclusion of ingre∂ιєnts that astonished both the show’s hosts and fans.
Starting with j-hope’s fridge — he doesn’t store many ingre∂ιєnts, likely due to his busy schedule, and he notes that modern delivery services are very convenient. Nevertheless, his fridge still contains basic items such as sparkling water, milk, fruit juice, soda, light alcohol, yogurt, fresh fruit, and frozen ready-to-eat meals.
Most notably, he always has a large supply of traditional side dishes prepared by his mother, along with dozens of sauces and condiments that he collects and stocks. A highlight that made the show members excited was the presence of individually packaged portions of beef and fermented Heuksando skate fish — a rare and expensive delicacy.

Jin’s fridge also displays a wide variety of ingre∂ιєnts, reflecting his love for both eating and cooking. In addition to basic food items like plant-based milk, kimchi, fruit, and beef similar to j-hope, Jin’s fridge emphasizes vitamins with a large selection of vegetables and fruits, and he even includes gummies that he enjoys.
In particular, Jin’s fridge is said to exemplify what a true superstar’s refrigerator looks like. He keeps fresh αѕѕorted sashimi (flounder, salmon, tuna) and, notably, a pre-prepared king crab set. Jin candidly admitted that he liked king crab as a child but couldn’t afford it, and now that he has succeeded, he eats it about once every two weeks. Later, as prices rose, he shifted to every three weeks, which made the show’s members laugh.

Ultimately, looking at these refrigerators, fans can not only see the members’ eating preferences but also get a glimpse into their personal habits and lifestyles. Jungkook and RM reflect the image of busy young adults, with fridges primarily stocked for convenience and post-work relaxation. j-hope shows a more balanced approach between nutrition and taste, while Jin’s fridge demonstrates a refined lifestyle and a genuine enjoyment of food.
