On this day, one of the topics that drew the most attention from the fandom was the case involving social media influencer Pachi, who received a legal notice from BIGHIT MUSIC “regarding activities under the name Pachi Jimin and are currently reviewing the matter.”

Pachi Jimin, known through accounts like Pachi.chim and Konkonhead, started around 2021 by parodying Jimin under the handle '짭지민' (Fake/Knockoff Jimin). However, ARMYs strongly feel his content crosses the line from simple imitation into outright ridicule, damaging Jimin's image. Worse still, he has been accused of exploiting the idol's popularity for personal fame and financial gain by selling merch, hosting ticketed Jimin-branded events, and accepting paid brand sponsorships.

In particular, Pachi’s recent appearance at an official ARIH event celebrating the launch of the brand’s collaboration with BTS was the breaking point for many fans. Following the event, numerous ARMYs expressed their anger and collectively reported the situation to both ARIH and HYBE. ARIH subsequently issued an apology and removed the related images, while HYBE moved forward with legal action, as mentioned above.

After receiving the legal notice from BIGHIT MUSIC, Pachi also announced that activities under the name Pachi Jimin would be temporarily suspended “until further clarification,” adding that another update would be provided regarding his future activities. Many expected him to remain silent while waiting for the outcome, but a recent puzzling move only fueled even harsher criticism.

Specifically, on the 23rd, Pachi posted an apology video on his personal Instagram, leading some fans to initially believe that it had been made after he received the legal notice from Jimin’s agency and faced a fierce wave of criticism from ARMYs. Some even came to Pachi’s defense, arguing that he had genuinely realized his mistakes and criticizing HYBE for allegedly taking the matter too far.

The situation took another turn when some ARMYs traced the origin of the video and uncovered a completely different story. According to information shared within the fandom, the video was actually filmed in December 2023 — around the time Pachi shaved his head in connection with Jimin and Jungkook enlisting in the military — rather than being a newly recorded apology following the legal notice.

More notably, the video had been reposted several times, including once in May this year. It was originally presented as a “blank apology video”: while shaving his head, Pachi reportedly came up with the idea of filming an apology video in advance for others to use, even though he “hadn't actually done anything wrong himself” at the time.

This led many ARMYs to conclude that Pachi’s latest move was not a genuine expression of remorse, but rather an attempt to use an old video as a defense at a sensitive moment and gain sympathy from more trusting fans in order to lessen the backlash against him. Instead of easing the situation, the move only left many ARMYs even more furious.

At present, many fans are strongly arguing that it is time for Pachi to face the consequences of repeatedly using Jimin’s image to attract attention and serve his own interests. They have also expressed anger toward fans who chose to defend Pachi instead of standing up for Jimin and supporting HYBE’s legal action:

- I can understand that maybe when he first started making those parody videos, he was just doing it for fun and didn’t necessarily have bad intentions. But when you keep doing it over and over, it becomes distasteful and starts negatively affecting Jimin. And let’s be real: over the years, he definitely made a considerable amount of money and gained fame by using Jimin. That’s wrong
