When the ARIRANG World Tour was first announced earlier this year, more than 70 concerts were scheduled across 34 cities worldwide. In North αмєяι¢α and Europe alone, 41 shows sold out within just a few hours of going on sale. At many major stops, tickets were almost gone immediately after sales opened, while even stadiums with capacities of tens of thousands of people struggled to meet the overwhelming global demand. As a result, BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' quickly became one of the most competitive concert tours to get tickets for this year.

In response to the huge demand, BIGHIT MUSIC later added more shows in Tampa, Florida; Stanford, California; and Las Vegas in the US, as well as Lima, Peru; Santiago, Chile; Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Melbourne, Australia. The newly added dates also sold out quickly. Additional concerts were later announced in Jakarta, Indonesia, and Bulacan, Philippines, bringing the tour to a current total of 88 shows and making it the biggest world tour in the group’s career and even in K-pop history.

Despite the already mαѕѕive number of shows, there are still many countries that have yet to appear on BTS’ tour map this time around. Fans in these locations are eager to see the superstars visit their countries and have continued sending messages inviting BTS to make their first-ever appearance there. And it seems that a recent comment from SUGA during a livestream is giving fans hope that those messages could eventually be answered.

Specifically, during his livestream ahead of the Arlington concert, SUGA υиєχρє¢тє∂ly brought up the possibility of BTS performing in a location that is not currently included in the ARIRANG schedule: South Africa. “Even in South Africa there must be people waiting for us. Actually I thought about it. When I was on my tour 3 years ago, I tried talking about going there. We’ll think it over. If there is demand in South Africa, it should be possible,” SUGA shared.

SUGA’s comment immediately excited ARMYs in South Africa. At the same time, fans paid particular attention to his words, “If there is demand in South Africa, it should be possible,” as they suggest that market demand could be one of the important factors BTS and their team consider when deciding on new tour stops.

Meanwhile, fans also recalled a recent statement from HYBE CEO Lee Jae-sang. During a press conference at the end of July, when asked about BTS’ future plans, Lee said: "There are still many dates left on the BTS world tour that haven't been announced yet, so I'm cautious about sharing additional performances and plans, but I do want to say that they are planned."

Notably, кσяєαn media outlets and BIGHIT MUSIC had also previously hinted several times at the possibility of adding stops in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. Along with the HYBE CEO’s statement and SUGA’s latest comment, fans now have even more reason to believe that the current schedule may only be part of BTS’ historic world tour. Fans in countries without scheduled dates, including South Africa, may still have plenty of chances to see their names added to the ARIRANG World Tour map.
