After a decade of activity, BTS has achieved all the achievements that a globally famous group can achieve and become the most successful Kpop group of all time. It seems that with all this glory, BTS members can feel secure and proud of their position.

But in reality, the members in general and SUGA in particular have a huge fear about the group's future. That's when the aura gradually disappears in the future! No one can predict this, but it seems that BTS is mentally prepared to accept this.

Through SUGA's sharing about how BTS learned to accept the truth and prepare themselves to face it, we see even more that this is truly the charm of kings:

BTS is currently in the golden age of their career when they have achieved üńệẍṗệċẗệď achievements and have many people who admire their successes. Even when entering chapter 2, which is the 11th year of their career, the group still maintains their success with each member achieving good achievements with their solo albums. The two #1 positions on the Billboard Hot 100 are the clearest proof of this.

But just about a year ago, when there was news that BTS would have to suspend group activities for a while and the members would gradually enlist, many people thought that BTS would soon fade away. Some people believe that even if BTS returns, they may not be able to maintain the same resounding success as before.

While many people worry about the "kings" losing their thrones, even the BTS members themselves have never thought of this as a fear. Instead of being afraid, worrying about not having achievements, not being praised globally, they worry about somєthing else even more important...

SUGA once opened up about BTS's worries about the future and the journey they were on during a program. Specifically, SUGA revealed, “We talked about this earlier with the other members about ‘fear of falling but not of landing’”. SUGA said that this fear stems from the fact that he is grateful that BTS has come so far but the group still wonders if they deserve it.

He shared that: "We have to be able to see the ground to some extent. When we see the ground on an airplane, we know that we are flying, but if you are in the clouds, it doesn’t feel like we are flying. Although we are truly honored and grateful, we sometimes wonder if coming this far was what we really wanted." 

After that, SUGA also said that BTS was under a lot of pressure, "It’s too burdensome. All we did was do our job by working hard, but people take it as we have contributed to the country, making it too burdensome."

This made SUGA realize that they should back down (land) as soon as BTS has a chance instead of the group trying to maintain attention: "I’ve seen a lot of other artists that couldn’t perform at venues after their time in the spotlight faded away. Ever since I was young, I thought that it would be better to step down when you can instead of being blamed and mocked by people for it.

I hope to continue to perform on stage until the very end. I think that is the best way to come down from the spotlight. Even if the auďïệnce reduces from 50,000 to 2,000 people, it is our way of landing gracefully by performing for those people."

For BTS and SUGA, glory has never been a destination that could become a fear for them. Essentially from the first days, BTS has performed and devoted themselves to music, fans and the best meanings of life.

Therefore, in the future, SUGA or BTS are only afraid that they will no longer be able to contribute or perform for the auďïệnce, for their ARMY, not afraid that one day they will no longer be famous. That is the value that creates the kings of Kpop today!
