A few hours before officially taking the stage at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, SUGA υиєχρє¢тє∂ly appeared in a short livestream to chat with fans. This was also one of the rare times the idol had done an individual livestream due to his busy tour schedule. SUGA made fans happy by appearing bright and cheerful in his ARIRANG World Tour merch, while showing off plenty of adorable expressions.

During the livestream, SUGA also took the opportunity to share a series of interesting TMI about his family and the cat who has been getting a lot of attention from ARMY — Tang. Tang especially stole the spotlight as SUGA excitedly talked about everything from his dad frequently sending photos and videos of Tang to his mom giving the cat so many snacks that he now weighs over 7kg. SUGA even took the time to “defend” Tang, explaining that he is not obese but simply has a bigger frame and is a little chubby, which only makes the cat look even more adorable.

Alongside these heartwarming stories about his family and Tang, another detail about SUGA quickly caught ARMY’s attention. One fan asked whether the idol was wearing contact lenses. What seemed like a simple question eventually gave fans a rather surprising insight into why SUGA almost never wears contacts.

When asked, SUGA confirmed, “No, I don't wear lenses,” and revealed that he has not worn contact lenses at all since 2023. “Honestly, I haven’t worn contact lenses at all since 2023. First of all, I don’t know how to put them in... I don’t even use them on photoshoots. It feels a little unnatural. It looks natural on other people's eyes but…” he added.

There was also another revelation from SUGA that further explained why he is not particularly fond of contact lenses. He revealed that he has fairly severe astigmatism, although he does not find it too inconvenient in his daily life. However, he is also considering looking into laser eye surgery in the future.

Specifically, he said: “Do I need to get laser eye surgery? I can't see that either the comments. I have astigmatism and it's pretty severe. They say you can get the surgery. Maybe in a few years a better technology will come out, right? For now, I'm living like this since it's not that uncomfortable. I just wear glαѕѕes. After hearing SUGA’s explanation, some fans also pointed out that finding suitable contact lenses for someone with severe astigmatism is not necessarily easy. One fan explained: “Astigmatism contacts (toric) are shaped differently, almost like an oval shape because our eyes aren't shaped normally.
