Ever since 2020, BTS members have gradually started moving into their own homes following the end of the group's luxury shared dormitory contract. SUGA had already begun preparing for this new chapter back in 2018, when the rapper purchased a luxury villa in UN Village for approximately 3.4 billion won. However, it wasn't his permanent home.
In late 2021, SUGA moved into the upscale Parc Hannam residence. By May 2023, he had relocated once again, this time to Nine One Hannam, an ultra-luxury residential complex located close to where RM and Jimin live. It is also believed to be his current home. During a conversation with BTS members late last year, SUGA revealed that his parents had moved from Daegu to Seoul to live with him and take care of their son.
What's particularly interesting is that despite moving several times, SUGA has always been quite private on social media and has rarely shared anything about his home. Unlike RM, who occasionally gives fans a glimpse of his living space through vlogs, or the maknae line, who sometimes reveal parts of their homes during livestreams, SUGA has kept his personal space almost entirely out of the public eye. As a result, his home has remained a subject of considerable curiosity among fans.
Lately, however, it seems SUGA has become more comfortable sharing snippets of his everyday life, even giving fans a rare glimpse inside his home.
On November 8, SUGA uploaded a series of photos documenting his life in кσяєα following his return from the South αмєяι¢αn leg of BTS's ARIRANG world tour. Among them was a photo of a large TV screen showing a baseball game. Given his well-known pαѕѕion for the sport, this came as no surprise to fans. What caught their attention, though, was a detail beneath the TV.
In the dimly lit area, fans could make out the silhouette of a long sword neatly displayed on a stand. After revisiting older photos and comparing the details, they recognized it as the Zanpakuto sword that SUGA had used as a prop during the filming of the Suchwita music video. Fans were delighted to discover that he had kept the prop and even displayed it as a personal collectible.
The sword wasn't the only interesting detail. Another photo featuring SUGA's beloved cat, Tang, also offered a glimpse into his home. The feline was seen lounging on a large, plush rug in a light golden-brown shade, finished with dark green edging.
Fans also recalled several other pieces of furniture and home accessories they had previously spotted in photos of Tang shared by SUGA. In one picture, Tang was peeking out of a bathtub, allowing fans to notice a high-end faucet from G͜͡E͜͡R͜͡M͜͡A͜͡N͜͡luxury brand Dornbracht, specifically from its renowned VAIA collection. According to retail prices shared on online forums, the fixture costs approximately $4,465.
Another photo once sparked considerable discussion when Tang appeared behind a wall that nearly reached the ceiling. This led fans to speculate that SUGA's apartment might feature a built-in cat climbing wall or a dedicated play structure for his pet. While such designs are not particularly unusual among cat owners, having enough space for such a large installation still left many fans impressed.
Looking at all these details, fans have noticed a common theme in SUGA's interior design choices: many of the items in his home are considerably large in size. At the same time, much like his fellow BTS members and befitting his status as a global K-pop superstar, his home also appears to feature plenty of high-end and expensive pieces. The υиєχρє¢тє∂ appearance of the Zanpakuto sword from Suchwita was yet another delightful surprise that fans never saw coming.
Reacting to these latest glimpses of SUGA's living space, fans couldn't help but express their amazement: "So basically, everything Yoongi has is either big or long or both. Now what exactly am I supposed to do with this information?", "Yoongi house tour so far: Expectation: big house, big cars, big rings Reality: big tv, big cat, long sword", "BIG SOUL, BIG HEART MAN. So cool", "Now I wanna see his interior I just know its clαѕѕy af", "Hdjsjdksorkwkd MY WHOLE PERSONALITY", "The fact that he keeps that sword safely in his home just proves how deeply he honors his craft and every memory attached to it", "Ibet he has a lot of cool stuff in his house im so mad",...
