Most people have an ideal type when it comes to a future husband or wife. K-pop fans often pick certain idols as their dream partners — but what kind of standards do these idols have for their own “ideal future wife”?
For ARMYs all over the world, learning about BTS members’ ideal types has always been a hot topic that never loses its spark. Each time a member reveals their preferences or expectations in a partner, social media erupts with excited — and hopeful — comments from fans.
It’s not uncommon for BTS members to leave fans a little confused or even challenged by their unique or vague standards. For example, leader RM likes a girl who is both feminine and ѕєχy. He wants to talk to that girl and hear her beautiful voice at the same time. Meanwhile, Jin likes to eat delicious food, so he wants a girlfriend who can cook and is gentle.
But while some of these standards might feel a little hard to meet, SUGA — the member known for his cool exterior but warm heart — completely surprised fans with just how simple and wholesome his idea of a future wife is.
In fact, his ideal type was revealed long before his debut with BTS, back when he was still a high school student. During a school assignment, SUGA was asked to describe his “future wife” and write something he would want to say to her. Young Min Yoongi’s answer was short, sweet, and sincere: “A word for a kind woman: Please take good care of me.”
That single sentence was enough to melt the hearts of millions of ARMYs. No need to be the most glamorous, or possess extraordinary talents — just being kind, caring, and loving is more than enough to become his “other half.”
“Please take good care of me” — a phrase that may sound simple, but carries deep sincerity and trust. It shows that SUGA values emotional connection and longs for a peaceful, genuine relationship rather than something flashy. It’s completely in line with the image he has maintained throughout over a decade with BTS: calm, thoughtful, sensitive, and full of quiet affection.
And it doesn’t stop there. In various interviews later in his career, SUGA added more details about his ideal type. He shared that he’d love his life partner to be calm, understanding, and — most notably — someone who enjoys hip-hop and rap, two of his greatest passions.
These little additions only further define the kind of woman he’s drawn to: a companion who is gentle enough to be his safe space, and emotionally in tune enough to connect with the artist within him.
SUGA’s ideal wife isn’t some impossible dream — quite the opposite. His description almost perfectly fits the personality of many ARMYs, and it’s no surprise fans couldn’t hide their excitement. Across social media platforms, fans have been quick to respond with heartfelt (and playful) comments like:
