SUGA Ever Shared The Pressure Of A Performance Making Him Burst Into Tears And The Burden Of Kpop Megastar

Being a celebrity is inherently stressful, and with idols like BTS, it's even more stressful. But looking at the members performing on an attractive stage, we would never have thought that they were also scared before every important stage.

The story of SUGA bursting into tears after BTS' successful performance at the AMAs is an example. Even someone who rarely shows emotions like SUGA couldn't believe that he was so emotional with the performance.

BTS is currently one of the Kpop stars with top performing stages that make many people admire such as AMAs, Grammys, UN, ... BTS has also performed in legendary stadiums before with the participation of many people. participation of tens of thousands of spectators such as Rose Bowl, Wembley, Citi Field, etc.

It seems that BTS is so used to such epic performances that it seems there is nothing to worry about. But in reality, BTS still has fears about being on stage, even after they've achieved worldwide recognition.

On one occasion, SUGA shared his memories of performing at the AMAs for the first time and how scared he was before performing. He said, "We've done a lot of performances, but at that time I was very worried. The first time we performed 'DNA' at the AMAs, that day I was very nervous even though I normally don't worry not much."

SUGA went on to reveal the surprise afterwards,"That day I ran into the hotel room and cried, thinking, 'This is not what I want'." "I hadn't wanted a situation that was this burdensome." In fact, he cried right after that performance.

Mixed with excitement and pride is anxiety when taking the first steps on the road to success. But SUGA also sincerely shared that he knew it was just the beginning, as there will be many more performances with such anxiety and insecurities in the future as each day they will reach a higher milestone.

SUGA also commented: "You have to see the whole ground. Even when you're on an airplane, when you can see the ground, you think you're flying. But when you're above the clouds, you will not feel like this. The moment was so bright and I felt grateful. But then I asked myself: "Is this true? Is this what we hope for?" and “Falling is scary, but landing is not.”

This is absolutely true because BTS cannot forever remain in the guise of safety or choose to perform in places they are familiar with. That's why Suga feels that those worries are an inevitable part, but it's better to overcome them to feel the excitement than to stay on top.

That is also the reason why j-hope chose to debut at Lollapalooza - where there are thousands of strangers instead of standing at a familiar stage with his supporters. The way BTS overcame their fears and reached the top shows that's why they keep reaping the rewards!
