Recently, the latest episode of Suchwita with Seventeen's Hosi was premiered. In this episode, with Hoshi's sharing, SUGA found a lot in common as well as gave many useful advice to Hoshi as a sunbae.
One of them is advice on shoulder injuries – one of the pains that SUGA has endured for a long time. Now, Hoshi is experiencing the same pain and he is being given advice and sympathy by SUGA.
Below is the conversation between SUGA and Hoshi about this:
For Hoshi, BTS and SUGA are senior artists with experiences and experiences worth learning from. And he came to Suchwita with a heart full of admiration and with many questions and concerns that he wanted to hear SUGA answer.
Among Hoshi's questions, he opened up to SUGA about his worries that one day Seventeen will have to take a break. He fears that this will make it difficult for the group to come back because of taking a break for a long time. However, he received a helpful advice from SUGA that everything will turn out well and that fans will always support the group every time they come back because memories are priceless.
Meanwhile, SUGA αccídєntally discovers a problem that Hoshi is facing just like he was before. It is a problem of shoulder pain, even shoulder injury and it greatly affects Hoshi's life and work now.
This is the same problem that SUGA faced many years ago and he understands this pain better than anyone. SUGA started talking about how he had surgery right after BTS debuted Black Swan and On. He shared, “Ironically, I ended up getting shoulder surgery because of "Black Swan" and "ON". In "Black Swan," there's a move that goes like this. After doing it, I could barely move my arm.”
Hoshi then shared the same pain he feels every time he does hand movements in his choreography: “I dislocate my shoulder sometimes so I know how it feels”. SUGA was surprised because Hoshi also went through this pain and he asked Hoshi if he had surgery but Hoshi still can't do this because time doesn't allow.
SUGA then offered advice from understanding his irreparable pain in the past: “It gets a little better afterwards. You know what it's like on tour. No matter how much you tape it or put som̾e̾t̾h ̾ing on it or ice it after it's over. It still ȟɥȑțs. I had to get shots in every city we toured in. I keep having to get shots. And then, during all those concerts and everything else in between my shoulder just gave out”.
It seems that the time before shoulder surgery, SUGA had a lot of difficulties with a tight schedule and a constant pain in the shoulder. But fortunately he is now recovering and his shoulder is much better than before.
Hopefully in the future, Hoshi will also be able to ease his shoulder pain like what SUGA advised!
