Many experts believe that K-pop should not be defined as "кσяєαn pop music" anymore because of its strong growth, taking over the world over the past decade. We cannot deny the strong spread of the Hallyu wave around the world.
So, the кσяєαn Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism conducted a new survey recently to determine which K-pop artists are considered by the public to be the most popular in the world. Finally, the кσяєαn government listed the 15 most prominent names after the survey.
The list below makes it impossible for you to completely disagree because it is so accurate to reality:
More than a decade has pαѕѕed and K-pop shows a stronger growth than ever. K-pop artists have grown and expanded their influence across many fields even including politics. кσяєαn pop music is still constantly developing and creating its own values.
Recognizing the influence of K-pop around the world, the кσяєαn Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism conducted a survey to find out the most influential Kpop artist names today. They also released the results of their latest survey of the world's most popular K-Pop artists.
The survey included K-pop artist names to date and involved 4,679 ordinary people from 18 countries. The survey is completely run by the government and only published 15 artists/groups in the final list.
Here is the list that has been released:
15. Park Jimin
One of the most repeated names in the survey was BTS Jimin. He has been loved by so many fans all over the world.
Looking at how Jimin topped the personal brand value rankings for weeks at a time also proves his unlimited charisma.
14. Kim Taehyung
Just like Jimin, with the rise of BTS, V also took over the world with his good looks, personality, and talent. Every time V appears at events or shows, everyone can feel the shaking when the whole world turns to him.
13. Super Junior
As one of the most prominent 2nd gen groups in Kpop, it is not difficult to see Super Junior's name in this ranking.
12. GOT7
The fact that GOT7 is in 12th place in this chart proves their popularity even though they are not doing group activities but focusing on individual activities.
11. Jeon Jungkook
BTS's Golden Maknae cannot be excluded from this list because of his tremendous popularity. Jungkook showed his global charm when constantly hítting the top trend every time he appeared. He can also make the items he uses sell out all over the world. And so, Jungkook is in 11th place, surpαѕѕing the names of many other groups.
10. BIGBANG's G-Dragon
GD ranked in 10th place with his excellent reputation in group activities and in personal life.
09. Girls Generation (SNSD)
Referring to Kpop, we must mention the legendary girl group SNSD with híts that are loved by the public around the world.
08. BIGBANG
Although Big Bang is no longer active with a full lineup, over the years, each member has made their own mark. In particular, the return of "Still Life" has shown how strong Big Bang's influence is.
07. EXO
Although the group has not had outstanding activities for many years, most of the members have their own activities, helping the group maintain its reputation.
06. TWICE
TWICE is known as the hardest working group in KPop when in 2011 alone, they released 6 songs. Hard work and catchy songs always help TWICE maintain their charm.
05. PSY
Although there are not many hot songs since "New Face", "Gentleman", PSY is still a highly appreciated face after being famous around the world with the billion-view song. PSY is also said to be one of the successful artists when entering the difficult US market.
04. BLACKPINK Lisa
Lisa is the only member of BlackPink in the list that is not in the same group. Her individual activities have caused a global "fever".
03. IU
IU is one of the most successful solo artists in Kpop today. Although IU has always focused mainly on the кσяєαn market, it is undeniable that the 12-year-old singer's brilliant charm shines throughout Asia.
02. BLACKPINK
BLACKPINK's attraction in the world market cannot be denied when all 4 girls are the representative faces of 4 top luxury brands in the world. Not only that, their music products also resonate well around the world. Their first concert in North äṃệŕïċä in 2019 was so successful that tickets were sold out.
01. BTS
It's no surprise that BTS tops the list. The reputation of the house group HYBE is not limited to кσяєα or Asia but has been recognized worldwide, especially in a difficult market like the US.
BTS is also the group that received the Medal of Culture for outstanding contributions to кσяєαn culture and economy. They also entered Whíte House and even sat down before the United States President Joe Biden to dicuss about the discrimination and their effect to the youth.
Although BTS has been through a hiatus to fulfill their m̷i̷l̷i̷t̷a̷r̷y̷ service, they still prove their non-stop reputation as a solo artists.
