V and Song Kang have been spotted several times working out together while serving in the military. On one occasion, photos of the two were shared by their mutual fitness trainer, while another time, V himself shared them. The moments of the two famous stars of the кσяєαn entertainment industry showing off their fit physiques at the gym quickly went viral on social media. Many believed that their shared pαѕѕion for sports and physical training helped V and Song Kang grow closer while serving in the military together.

When V was discharged from the military last June, he once posted a four-panel photo with Song Kang and left a supportive message for his friend, who was still serving in the military and held the rank of sergeant major at the time: "You've worked hard haha." Four months later, it was Song Kang’s turn to complete his 18 months of mandatory military service and officially return to his entertainment activities.

Even after completing their military service, the two stars appear to have maintained their close friendship. In October last year, V and Song Kang were seen running along Jamsu Bridge over the Han River with actors Kim Young Dae and Jung Gun Joo before going out for кσяєαn BBQ together. At the end of November, the two stars were spotted meeting privately at a кσяєαn BBQ restaurant again.

According to Song Kang, he and Taehyung served in the same corps but had different roles. While Taehyung was part of SDT, the special forces unit, Song Kang described himself as just a regular sol∂ιєr. Later, through a mutual acquaintance whom he knew quite well, Song Kang had the opportunity to reconnect with Taehyung.

Most surprisingly, Song Kang himself revealed just how close they had become: “When we had time, we deliberately matched our vacation dates so we could meet up. We’d meet up, grab a meal, and we also went to the PC bang a lot. With the five guys from their team and the five from our unit, we’d even play 5-vs-5 games.”

The host then asked who usually paid whenever the two went out for a meal, and Song Kang answered honestly, “He paid.” However, the actor quickly added, “I also paid a few times when we played games and went bowling.”
